Trends in Hearing (Trends), formerly Trends in Amplification, is the only open access journal completely dedicated to publishing original, evidence-based research and reviews focusing on hearing aids, cochlear implants, and aural rehabilitation. Over the past 15 years, Trends has established itself as a forum for concise explorations of all areas of aural rehabilitation by leading practitioners in the field. It is now expanding its focus to include original research articles and clinical reports, in addition to the useful tutorials and reviews audiologists have come to expect. TIH publishes peer-reviewed papers in the following areas of audiology:
• Clinical and Experimental Studies of Hearing and Hearing Loss • Hearing Aid Technology • Cochlear Implant Technology • Assistive Listening Technology • Approaches to Aural Rehabilitation • Audiologic Management throughout the Lifespan • Hearing Loss and Quality of Life Issues
Each issue continues to be peer reviewed by a newly expanded panel of Associate Editors and other experts in the field, ensuring the quality, integrity and timeliness of each issue.
This journal is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

SUBMIT YOUR MANUSCRIPT TODAY! Instructions to Authors Trends in Hearing formerly Trends in Amplification, prefers to receive all manuscript submission electronically. Prior to submitting your manuscript please carefully review the instructions for authors and then visit http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/tia. Trends in Hearing (TRH) accomplishes global open access by using a business model in which its expenses are recovered by an author publication fee charged after acceptance. The cost for Open Access is $699, the fee will be assessed at article acceptance and authors will be asked to pay via PayPal in the ManuscriptCentral site. Authors will sign a CC-BY-NC license granting them use for non-commercial purposes.
