It includes issue formulation, analysis and modeling, decision making, and issue interpretation for any of the systems engineering lifecycle phases associated with the definition, development, and deployment of large systems. In addition, it includes systems management, systems engineering processes, and a variety of systems engineering methods such as optimization, modeling and simulation. Membership in IEEE's technical societies provides access to top quality publications such as this one either as a member benefit or via discounted subscriptions. All members of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society have electronic access to this publication through their membership. They are also reserved the lowest subscription prices for the print version. All media versions are available to those with no membership ties to IEEE or its societies, and anyone with memberships can simply add IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, if electronic access is desired.
