Instructions to Authors
Instructions for Authors
All submissions should be made online at Augmentative and Alternative Communication's ScholarOne Manuscripts site.
New users should first create an account. Once a user is logged onto the site, submissions should be made via the Author Centre.
If you experience any problems with your submission or with the site, please contact ScholarOne support through the ‘get help now’ link. At the site you will have access to the AAC Submission Requirements, Terminology and Notational Conventions, and Abbreviated Style Guide. Authors are strongly advised to review the first two documents in particular, as submissions that do not substantially conform to APA style and AAC-specific requirements will be returned for revisions prior to a review process getting underway. If you experience any problems or have any questions, please contact AAC Editorial Assistant Jackie Brown at rbutus@shaw.ca.
All submissions to the journal must include full disclosure of all relationships that could be viewed as presenting a potential conflict of interest. If there are no conflicts of interest, authors should state that there are none. This must be stated at the point of submission (within the manuscript, after the main text under a subheading "Declaration of interest", and, where available within the appropriate field on the journal's ScholarOne Manuscripts site).
Download the AAC Journal Instructions for Authors and AAC Journal Style Requirements for information on how to prepare your manuscript.
