The journal publishes articles in Spanish and English. The contributions for their publication should be unpublished and the journal is reserved all the rights of reproduction of the content of the same ones. All the articles are subjected to evaluation to the Publishing Committee or external consultants. Previous acceptance of the Publishing Committee, summaries of thesis of Magíster and Doctorate are also published, technical opinions, revision of books and reports of congresses, related with the Science and the Technology of the Wood.
Starting from the 2005 the journal Wood: Science and Technology of the Wood is part of SciELO-Chile www.scielo.cl, where will be able to find the electronic version of its articles. The publication of journal starting from this same year is of three numbers per year (cuatrimestral).
The articles should consist of Title, Summarize (200 words maximum), Key Words, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions and References.
The title, the summary and the key words, they should be written in Spanish and English.
The first page of the article should present: Title of the work and the author's name. The summarize, containing the objectives, procedure, results and conclusions; key words; abstract and keywords.
In the foot note to indicate the authors' position; name and address of the laboratory where the investigation was developed, besides specifying the electronic address to the one who to direct the correspondence.
Introduction: Should be defined the problem and to give an up-to-date vision of the existent knowledge in the topic in study. It should be that people without specific knowledge in the developed topic understand the general mark of the outlined problem.
Materials and Methods: It must be a precise description of the use procedure to encourage other scientists to repeat the same work.
Results and Discussion: The most important results should be presented and that they are consequence of the developed investigation, these should not be published in charts and figures. It should be interpreted and to explain the results obtained on the base of the problem outlined in the introduction and to the observations obtained by other authors in related works.
Conclusions: The conclusions should be presented obtained as consequence of the analysis of the results. These should give answer to the outlined objectives.
References: The References should make an appointment in the text with the first author's name and the respective year of publication among parenthesis. If there are more than two authors, the nomenclature et al will be used. After the first author's last name and later on the year. The References should be listed at the end of the text in alphabetical order according to the author's last name. If it is a book: Author (it is), year, title, edition number, editorial, city. If it is a journal article: Author (it is), year, title, name of the journal, volume, number (in parenthesis) and number of pages. For example:

The metric system must be used. Symbols should be normally typewritten, in italics. Their meaning should be clearly identified or explained. All equations should be numbered consecutively using numbers in parentheses on the right hand margin.
Figures, tables, drawings, photographs, ilustration should be used with discretion and included in the text. Their position within the text it must be clearly indicated.Manuscripts should be typed double-spaced in letter type New Times Roman of 12 points. The extension will be limited to 20 pages.

A copy of the journal and 10 offprints of the article they will be correspondents free of costs to the authors.
