About the journal
Establish
The first Croatian paediatric journal was founded 53 years ago at the Children’s Hospital in Zagreb. The first issue came out in October 1956 under the title BILTEN (Newsletter) and later ARHIV ZA ZAŠTITU MAJKE I DJETETA (Archives for the Health Care of Mother and Child). The main task of that journal was to inform paediatricians and doctors of all specializations involved in child health care about the basic problems of the profession and contemporary scientific insights in the field of the health care of mothers and children. From 1993 the journal became the official journal of the Croatian Paediatrics Society, the Croatian Society for School and University Medicine, and the Croatian societies for child orthopaedics, children’s surgery, oculists, intensive care, psychology and psychiatry, and it changed its name to PAEDIATRIA CROATICA.
