Scope
Published bimonthly, the Journal offers original papers on all aspects of acute injury and sudden illness, including: emergency medicine, anaesthesiology, cardiology, disaster medicine, intensive care, internal medicine, orthopaedics, paediatrics, toxicology and trauma care. Editorial policy
The editor will read each manuscript to determine whether it is appropriate for external peer review. Those deemed suitable will undergo external review; others will be rapidly returned to the corresponding author. The editor will respect the wishes of the corresponding author that the manuscript not be sent to a particular competing research group for review. Manuscripts will be judged solely on the basis of their content of original data and on the conclusions drawn from them.
