About the journal
Heldermann Verlag was founded in 1978 by Norbert C. Heldermann in Berlin, Germany. From the beginning the company aimed at an alternative form of publishing as compared to the "classical" publishing companies: maximal cooperation with authors and editors in the design, production and marketing of books and journals, minimal size of the publishing company itself, moderate prices.
Norbert Heldermann is today professor of Mathematics at the University for Applied Sciences at Lemgo, near Bielefeld. Most of the routine work in the company is accomplished by students. The current program consists of some 50 books and the following 7 journals.
The concern of this international mathematical journal is to disseminate theoretical knowledge in the field of analysis and, at the same time, cultivate and extend its applications. In this sense it publishes research articles in the areas of functional
analysis, theory of functions, differential equations, mathematical physics, differential geometry, measure theory, and analytical aspects of the theory of optimization.
Instructions to Authors
Papers submitted to this journal should be written in English, in exceptional cases in
French or German. Only unpublished material can be accepted, and authors may not
republish their paper in the same or similar form. With the acceptance of a paper for
publication all rights related to the reproduction pass to Heldermann Verlag.
Papers are expected to be written using TeX.
Three hardcopies of the paper should be supplied to the following address:

or to any of the Managing Editors. Upon acceptance of a paper the author(s) should provide
the text in final form as hard copy and electronic file on an MS-DOS organized diskette.
The layout of the paper should be chosen as, for example, in the paper of G. Vainikko and
K. Kunisch, `Identifiability of the transmissivity coefficient in an elliptic boundary
value problem', Volume 12 (1993), No. 2. The source file of this paper and the
ZAA macros to produce a manuscript ready for print is available from our home page

In exceptional cases papers not available on diskette may also be considered.
No page charge is made.
A total of 40 reprints of each contribution will be sent to the author free of charge.
