Manuscripts should be preferably submitted in English, but papers in French or Spanish (with an English translation of the Summary) will be considered, although they may be less quickly processed. They should be sent to the Managing Editor or one of the Editors.

Papers are accepted on the understanding that they have not been and will not be published elsewhere, as they become the copyright of the journal if accepted and cannot be reproduced elsewhere without permission. A completed copyright assignment form must be included with the submitted manuscript. Authors must declare, and submit copies of, manuscripts in preparation or submitted elsewhere that are closely related to the manuscript to be considered.
Preparation of the Manuscript
Three double-spaced hard copies should be submitted. Alternatively, manuscripts can be e-mailed as Word or Window attachments. Once a paper has been accepted for publication, its final version should be provided to the Editor who processed it either on a 3.5" disk or via e-mail, in Word or Windows format. The title page should contain:
Each author's name, address, telephone and fax numbers and e-mail address if possible;
Each author's affiliation and qualifications;
The location where the work was carried out;
The name of the author who is to deal with correspondence and proofs; preferably this author should have e-mail access for fast handling of proofs;
A description of each author's role in the research process and in preparing the manuscript, such as conception and design of the study; analysis and interpretation of data; and drafting the paper or revising it critically for substantial intellectual content. Authorship is constituted by participating in writing and one of the other categories. Final signed approval of the version to be published by all authors is mandatory.
The full title of the paper should be concise. Keywords and an abbreviated running title must be supplied. The text will generally proceed through sections of Summary, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussions. Abstracts of clinical, laboratory and field studies should be structured and state Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusion of the research. Tables (as text files), figures, legends and acknowledgements should be on separate sheets.
Units should always be expressed with the solidus, e.g. g/l, not g l -1; mg/kg, not mg kg-1. All numbers should be written as digits.
