Instructions to Authors   To submit your manuscript to Optics Express, just follow these necessary steps: Prepare your manuscript in one of the accepted formats: Word, WordPerfect, or TeX. Manuscripts must conform to one of the program-specific style guides (see link above). Use one of the templates to prepare your manuscript. Prepare your multimedia files, if any. Follow the Multimedia Guidelines to format and include multimedia correctly. Complete the online author submission form and upload your manuscript along with any accompanying multimedia files. Optics Express is freely and widely available to all readers via the Internet. In lieu of paid subscriptions, Optics Express requires authors to pay a publication fee. The publication fee is meant to offset costs that cannot be met by library subscriptions or society membership requirements. $325     6 or fewer published pages $750     7-15 published page Manuscripts longer than 15 pages will incur a supplementary fee to be determined. They will entail longer review and processing times that will lead to delays in publication. Your manuscript will be converted to a PDF file upon upload, and you will be asked to check that the file was transferred to OSA correctly. If you do not have the free Acrobat Reader plug-in installed, please install it now before beginning the submission process. Once your manuscript has been successfully uploaded, you will be contacted by e-mail to take further action.
