Instructions to Authors

NUKLEONIKA is published quarterly. Papers submitted to the Editorial Office are reviewed and the decision on accepting them for publication is undertaken by the Editorial Board. At least one refree is appointed.

  • The authors are requested to submit for publication original papers, written in English, unpublished and not being considered for publication elsewhere.
  • After a concise but informative title of the paper and the authors' names prefixed by initials the name of the establishment where the work has been done should be written, including full postal address (and a fax number or e-mail address if possible) for correspondence; also, the name of the author to whom correspondence should be addressed should be indicated by an asterisk; otherwise the first named author will be assumed as the one for correspondence.
  • The text should be prepared using WORD for Windows 6.0. Its volume should not exceed 20 pages (A4 format) including illustrations, tables and references.
  • Figures should be prepared using COREL 5 (.cdr) program. Original photographs (or high quality) should be provided.
  • All illustrations (figures, diagrams, photographs) should be numbered using Arabic numerals in the sequence in which they appear in the text. The number should be preceded with the abbreviation "Fig".
  • The place in the manuscript where a given figure is discussed should be market in the left margin. The captions to the figures should be typed on a separate page.
  • The paper on a diskette with two copies of the manuscript should be submitted to the Editorial Office.
  • References should be numbered in the order of their appearance in the text, and listed on a separate sheet of paper at the end of the article. In review articles alphabetic order is recommended. The reference numbers in the text should be written in brackets. References should be written in original language (Russian in Cyrillic) e.g.:
    1. Cox B. G., Parker A. J.: J. Am. Chem. Soc. 95, 6879, 1973.
  • An abstract in English of at most 150 words must be provided, whereas an abstract in Polish, Russian, French or German may be submitted at the authors' discretion.
  • Preferably, System International (SI) units should be used (equivalent quantities in older usage, e.g. ºC, cal A.I. etc. may be indicated in parentheses).
  • All nomenclature should be consistent, clear, unambiguous and in accordance with the rules constituted for a given branch. Authors should, whenever possible, conform to the nomenclature, symbols and abbreviations established for chemistry and physics by IUPAC and IUPAP and used in the Chemical Abstracts.
  • Manuscripts may be submitted by fax to the Editor but should be backed up by mail.
  • To expedite publication a dispatch of PC IBM compatible floppy diskette copies is recommended.
  • The first named author, unless otherwise requested, should correct one set of proofs which are to be returned to the Editor as soon as possible and with no other changes than those concerning printer's errors. Papers returned to the authors for revision should be resubmitted within one month.
  • The first-named author, unless otherwise requested, will be provided with 25 free reprints.
