The The Journal of Physiology publishes original research papers that illustrate physiological principles or mechanisms. It is among the most rapidly published journals in its field, with a consistently high citation index among physiology journals. The Journal aims for the highest editorial and production standards. All papers are published online ahead of print as Physiology in Press articles, with most papers being published within 4 months of submission. Rapid Reports of high priority are normally published within 2 weeks of acceptance. - Papers of particular interest are highlighted in the Perspectives section. The Journal publishes Topical Review articles which cover a chosen area in depth. The Journal of Physiology Symposia take place twice a year. Topical Reviews from these symposia are published together in an issue of The Journal. |
