The Journal of Investigational Allergology and Clinical Immunology provides an international forum for disseminating information on practical allergology in the form of new findings in basic and clinical immunology. The journal is in its 12th annual volume and is supported by an internationally renowned editorial board.

Original research in allergy and immunopathology is published, as well as new forms of therapy for allergic and immune disorders, new applications of diagnostic methods, clinical and experimental studies on the immunopathogenesis of allergic diseases and immune disorders, and new informative case reports. The journal also offers review articles and occasional reports from committees and societies, including the Interasma Newsletter, making it required reading for anyone working in this field.


Instructions to Authors
The Journal of Investigational Allergology & Clinical Immunology will consider for publication those papers directly related to allergology and clinical and experimental immunopathology. The Journal will comprise the following major sections:
Original Articles. Original research papers in allergy and immunopathology, as well as new forms of therapy for allergic and immune disorders, new applications of diagnostic methods, and clinical and experimental studies on immunopathogenesis of allergic diseases and immune disorders.
Short Communications. Description of clinical cases reporting exceptional results. Maximum length 2 type-written pages, double-spaced; 1 figure and 1 table will be accepted: references limited to a maximum of 10.
Editorials and ReviewArticles. Contributions from specialists in the field, requested by the Editors. Unsolicited reviews will be subject to consideration by the Editorial Board.

Author Warranty. The cover letter should include a statement by authors(s) confirming that the manuscript has not been published
elsewhere and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, as well as a statement of consent from all the authors. All manuscripts accepted for publication remain the property of the Journal of Investigational Allergology & Clinical Immunology and may not be reproduced or transmitted in any form without written permission from the Editor. Manuscripts published in or submitted to another journal cannot be considered.

Preparation of Manuscripts. Manuscripts should be typewritten, double-spaced with ample margins on all sides, and with pages numbered. First mention of tables and figures should be indicated in the righthand margin of the text. Maximumlength 25 pages.

Title Page. Should contain the full title, a brief running title, full name of author(s), institutional affiliation of author(s), and name, mailing address, fax and e-mail of author to whom all correspondence should be directed.

Summary. The major points of the article should be summarized in 150¨C300 words, in the order of their appearance in the manuscript. Material or facts not cited in the text should not be included.

Keywords. Three to ten keywords or brief phrases should be included after the Summary for indexing purposes.

Introduction. A brief and concise explanation of the ¡°state of the art¡± and purpose of the study.

Materials and Methods. Stating the source of all materials, and a description of the methods used so that they can be reproduced by other investigators.Details ofwell-known or previously published methods should be referred to and included in the references.

Results. A clear and concise description of the data obtained. Statistical analysis should be included when appropriate. Facts given in tables and figures should not be repeated in the text.

Tables. Each table should be typed on a separate page. Headings should not exceed two lines. Information appearing in figures should not be included.

Figures. Should be kept to a minimum and cited in the text. Black-and-white glossy originals should be submitted in duplicate. Legends should be typewritten and double-spaced on a separate page, and they should not exceed two lines.

Discussion. Interpretation of the results in comparison to those published by other investigators.

Acknowledgments.When necessary, credit should be given to persons, centers or foundations who have collaborated in the
study.

References. All references should be numbered consecutively throughout the text and enclosed in square brackets. Journal abbreviations should follow the norms of Current Contents. Acomplete citation of all the author(s) name(s) should be followed by complete title of the paper, abbreviated journal title, year, volume, and first and last page number. When citing an article from a book, author(s) name(s) should be followed by the complete title of the paper, title of the book, volume number, editor(s) name(s), address and name of the publisher, year, and first and last page numbers:

Proofs. Page proofs will be sent to the author to whom all correspondence should be addressed unless otherwise specified by the authors. Proofs should be checked against the original. Authors will be charged for major alterations in the original text. Proofs not returned in time to meet publication date will either be rescheduled or published without authors¡¯ corrections, in which case the Editors do not assume responsibility for any errors that might have been made in typesetting.

Reprints. Ten complimentary copies of the journal issue in which the article appears will be given to senior authors. Requests for reprints should be sent with the proofs. Prices may be quoted on request.
