About the journal
The Journal of High Energy Physics (JHEP) is a scientific journal owned by the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA - Trieste, Italy) and published by Institute of Physics Publishing. The objective in running the journal is to capitalise on the innovative advantages of the new media: rapidity of communication, broad diffusion and the ability to run and distribute a journal solely by electronic means. By introducing an automated and electronic peer review system, JHEP complements the present system of preprint distribution via the online arXiv service that has so successfully replaced the conventional system.

JHEP encompasses the following areas of theoretical and experimental physics: Collider Physics, Underground and Large Array Physics, Astroparticles, Gauge Field Theories, General Relativity and Gravitation, Mathematical Methods of Physics, Solvable Models, Strong Interactions, Weak Interactions, Quantum Field Theory, Statistical Field Theories, String Theory, Supersymmetry, Duality, Branes.
Instructions to Authors
All submissions and refereeing are handled by the JHEP editorial office at SISSA. To submit a paper to JHEP, please connect to one of the JHEP nodes:
A submission to Journal of High Energy Physics
- must be the original work of the author(s) and
- must not be submitted or published in other refereed journals (except as an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review or thesis) or be under consideration for another publication in its submitted or a substantially similar form in any language.
Publication must have been approved by all co-authors (if any) as well as by the responsible authorities at the institution(s) where the work was carried out.
On acceptance, the authors agree to the automatic transfer of copyright to SISSA.
The entire editorial/production procedure is handled electronically under the mediation of the JHEP software robot. Full details are available from the JHEP pages at SISSA.
