About the journal
The IEEE Transactions on I&M collect archival papers concerning technologies, methodologies, and the related applications in all areas of instrumentation and measurement. Special issues publish technical papers of merit from the annual IEEE/IMTC and biennial CPEM conferences.
Transactions are published bimontly and included in the Society membership dues.
Instructions to Authors
Manuscripts submitted to this TRANSACTIONS should describe original work submitted exclusively to this journal, should not have been published before, and should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. An author who submits a paper that has been presented at a conference is requested to give credit to the conference at which it was presented; this may be done via a footnote.
Contributed papers may vary in length and substance. A regular paper is a technical report of completed research or development, and is normally limited to six pages in final form. A short paper is a concise report of research or development findings. It is usually restricted in length to about three printed pages. A correspondence is a preliminary report of a research program, a development project, or a new idea. It may also be a written comment on a previously published paper in the TRANSACTIONS; however, to be considered for publication, comments must be submitted to the Editor within one month after the appearance of the paper to which it refers. A correspondence is restricted in length to less than two printed pages.
