编辑部信息(Editorial Board)
About the journal IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control is ranked #1for citations in the field of Automation and Control Systems (source: ISI's Journal Citation Report, 2000).Covers the theory, design, and application of control systems: real-time control, optimal control, adaptive and stochastic control, estimation and identification, linear systems, system modeling, and applications of physical, economic, and social systems.
Instructions to Authors
In the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, the IEEE Control Systems Society publishes high-quality papers on the theory, design, and applications of control engineering. The Transactions is published monthly. Two types of contributions are regularly considered: 1) Papers-Presentation of significant research, development, or application of control concepts.
Submitted manuscripts must be typewritten in English in single-column format. All submitted manuscripts should be as concise as possible. Papers of length exceeding 32 double-spaced, typed pages (including figures) will normally not be considered.
2) Technical Notes and Correspondence-Brief technical notes, comments on published areas or established control topics, corrections to papers and notes published in the Transactions.
Technical Notes and Correspondence items must be typewritten in English and are normally limited to 12 double-spaced, single-column format, typed pages in 12-point format (approximately four Transactions pages using the Technical Note font size).
Authors of Technical Notes and Correspondence items are urged to prepare their manuscript using LaTeX and to make use of the line
\documentclass[12pt,draftcls,onecolumn]{IEEEtran}
The necessary files are available from http://www.ieee.org/organizations/pubs/transactions/information.htm
When this format is used, manuscripts up to 15 page long are allowed, provided the figures are of such size that reduction by a factor of two in width and height will not impede legibility of the labels and other symbols; if such is not the case, the allowable number of pages is reduced accordingly, at the discretion of the Editor for Technical Notes and Correspondence
In addition, special papers (tutorials, surveys, and perspectives on the theory and applications of control systems topics) are solicited. Authors are urged to contact one of the Associate Editors at Large before submitting such papers.
Submission of a manuscript signifies that it has been neither copyrighted, published, nor submitted or accepted for publication elsewhere.
A.Process for Electronic Submission of Manuscript
The IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control encourages all prospective authors to submit their manuscripts electronically (Full Papers or Technical Notes and Correspondence items). Only POSTSCRIPT or PDF files are accepted.
Your postscript or pdf file should be submitted through the following procedure:
If you are submitting a Full Paper, please go to http://control.bu.edu/ieee/submit_P.html and follow the simple instructions to upload your postscript or pdf file. You will be given the option to upload additional files (e.g., supporting material with your manuscript), as well as send an e-mail message to the Editor-in-Chief.
If you are submitting a Technical Note or Correspondence item, please go to http://control.bu.edu/ieee/submit_TN.html and follow the simple instructions to upload your postscript or pdf file. You will be given the option to upload additional files (e.g., supporting material with your manuscript), as well as send an e-mail message to the Editor for Technical Notes and Correspondence.
If you have any problem with the file uploading procedure above, then please follow the alternative submission steps below:
1.) Use an FTP program to connect to control.bu.edu.
For Full Papers, place your file in the directory INCOMING-P (capitalized).
For Technical Notes and Correspondence, place your file in the directory INCOMING-TN (capitalized).
Use "anonymous" as the user ID for accessing this site. Please use your e-mail address as a password (using no password may work on some FTP programs only). Your file name should have the format xxx.ps or xxx.pdf. Please use a filename xxx that will make it easy to identify the corresponding author of the paper (e.g., use your name).
Alternatively, go to the web site http://control.bu.edu /ieee/ftp.html and follow the simple instructions to FTP your file from that site.
2.) Send by e-mail a transmittal letter to the appropriate Editor. For Full Papers, send your letter to the address: trac@bu.edu. For Technical Notes and Correspondence items, send your letter to the address: tn-tac@eng.umd.edu. The letter MUST include the name of the file (xxx.ps or xxx.pdf) that you have already placed in the directory INCOMING-P or INCOMING-TN on control.bu.edu.
3.) If you need to submit electronically supporting material with your manuscript (e.g., responses to reviews from a previously submitted paper), please follow the same instructions as in 1 above for all additional postscript or pdf files and specify the corresponding file names in your transmittal letter.
RECEPTION ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: Soon thereafter, you will receive an e-mail message acknowledging successful reception of your postscript or pdf file and assigning a Reference Number to your submission. If there was any problem in the reception and printing of your file, you will be notified.
Authors outside the USA: Please make sure that your postscript or pdf files can be printed out correctly on standard US paper size (8 1/2 x 11'). For example, with dvips, use the option "-t letter".
B. Process for Hard-copy Submission of Manuscript
1) Papers: Send seven copies of the paper together with three copies of a transmittal letter enclosed in one package to the Editor-in-Chief. These will be subject to a full review procedure, and a decision on whether or not to accept the paper will be made by members of the Transactions Editorial Board.
2) Technical Notes and Correspondence should be sent to the Editor for Technical Notes and Correspondence; five copies of the paper with two copies of a transmittal letter are required. Decisions are made on the basis of a simplified review procedure.
3) Original illustrations should not be sent until requested, but authors should be ready to submit these immediately upon acceptance for publication.
4) Authors of accepted Papers are requested to supply their biographies (100 words or less) and photographs. For style, see biographies in a recent issue.
5) Enclose three copies of your letter of transmittal. Do not send letters of transmittal under separate cover. Give your preferred address for correspondence. Inform the Editor-in-Chief or Editor for Technical Notes and Correspondence of any change of address.
6) Authors of accepted manuscripts will be required to provide the final version of their manuscript on a computer diskette along with the hard copy. IEEE Authors' Electronic Guide
C. Copyright and Export Control Compliance
It is the policy of the IEEE to own the copyright to the technical contribution it publishes on behalf of the interests of the IEEE, its authors and their employers, and to facilitate the appropriate reuse of this material by others. To comply with the U.S. Copyright Law, authors are required to sign an IEEE copyright form before publication. This form returns to authors and their employers full rights to reuse their material for their own purposes. The form may be obtained from IEEE Copyright Form
In addition, the IEEE must also comply with U.S. laws or restrictions pertaining to the dissemination of defense-related information. For more information please see http://www.ieee.org/organizations/tab/export_compliance.html
D. Style for Manuscript - IEEE Information for Authors - Transactions Style File
(The LaTex style files for IEEE may be retrieved either by sending a message to fileserver@ieee.org with the body of the message containing the names of the files desired, or by sending an empty message to latex@ieee.org to obtain the complete set.)
1) First page must contain: a) Title of Paper (without Symbols), b) Author(s) and affiliation(s), c) Abstract (not exceeding 300 words for Papers or 75 words for Technical Notes and Correspondence, and without equations, references, or footnotes), d) Complete mailing address, telephone number, and, if available, ELECTRONIC MAIL (EMAIL) ADDRESS and facsimile (fax) number of each author, e) Preferred address for correspondence and return of proofs, and f) Footnotes (if desired) containing acknowledgment of financial or other support.
2) If possible, please prepare copies using two sides of each page. Authors should be aware, however, that after acceptance of a manuscript, a one-sided copy must be provided for IEEE production purposes.
3) Provide an Introduction that includes a statement of the purpose and contribution of the paper.
4) If appropriate, indicate advantages, limitations, and possible applications in a Conclusion section.
5) References should be numbered and appear in a separate bibliography at the end of the paper. Use numerals in square brackets to cite references, e.g., [15]. References should be complete and in IEEE style (see examples in a recent issue).
E. Style for Illustrations
1) It is in the author's interest to submit professional quality illustrations. Drafting or art service cannot be provided by the IEEE.
2) Original drawings should be in black ink on white background. Maximum size is restricted to 21.6 by 27.9 cm. Glossy prints of illustrations are also acceptable.
3) All lettering should be large enough to permit legible reduction of the figure to column width, sometimes as small as one quarter of the original size. Typed lettering is usually not acceptable on figures.
4) Lightly pencil each figure number on the back of each original illustration. Captions should not appear on figures. 5) Provide a separate sheet listing all figure captions, in proper style for the typesetter, e.g., "Fig. 5. The error variance for the optimal filter."
6) Contributors' photographs should measure between 1.6 cm and 9.5 cm across the widest part of the head. The overall size of the photographic paper use can be anything from passport size to 27.9 cm.
F. Mandatory Overlength Page Charges.
A mandatory page charge is imposed on all papers exceeding twelve Transactions pages (about 26 double-spaced, typed pages) in length, including illustrations. The charge is $125 per page for each page over the first twleve and is a prerequisite for publication. Details are provided at the time of acceptance; authors are, however, urged to keep this in mind when submitting and revising their papers.
G. Page Charges. After a manuscript has been accepted for publication, the author's company or institution will be approached with a request to pay a charge of $110 per page to cover part of the cost of publication. The author will receive 100 free reprints (without covers) only if the page charge is honored. Detailed instructions will accompany the proofs.
