For many years, the ICCA Journal occasionally included articles on games other than chess. This has included Backgammon, Othello, Chinese Chess, Shogi, Go, and fundamental issues affecting the programming of all such games. To reflect this increasing interest in other games, the Journal changed its name to the ICGA Journal from Vol.23 No.1 (the first issue of 2000). Abstracting and indexing Contributors may be interested to know that the ICGA Journal (and previously the ICCA Journal as of Vol. 10, No. 1 (1987)), is a source for Thomson Scientific for inclusion in the CompuMath Citation Index©, the Science Citation Index Expanded©, ISI Web of Science©, SciSearch©, and Personal Alert©. Paper abstracts and author information are accessible online through ISI Web of Science©. The journal is also a source of information for R.R. Bowker for inclusion in the International Serials Database which is a source for Ulrich's Periodicals Directory™. Since 2006, the ICGA Journal is included in the abstract and citation database Scopus© by Elsevier B.V. Instructions to Authors Submission of Material Contributions to the Journal of up to 4000 words are welcome in any form. Short contributions (2000 - 3000 words) are preferred. Longer papers of striking originality and cogency may be considered, provided the authors consent to publication in instalments. Authors are urged to supply full references, including the names and location of publishers and ISBN or ISSN numbers where applicable. While any form is welcome, efficiency of production imposes an editorial preference for some forms suitable for electronic communications. These preferred forms, in order, are LaTeX, further information for LaTeX users can be found here. MSWord (not recommended). Contributions may be emailed to info@icga.org Figures not conveniently accommodated in any of the above formats may be submitted in PostScript format. We urge contributors not to hesitate to submit their material in the form which most clearly represents the authors' wishes as to lay-out and presentation. Reprints of articles are available.
