Manuscripts should be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief: Dr. E. S. E. Hafez, Reproductive Health Center, 78 Surfsong Road, Kiawah Island, SC 29455, USA. In addition to full-length research papers, short communications that provide a brief but complete account of a particular piece of work may be submitted. Review articles will be published from time to time, by invitation of the Editor-in-Chief. Letters to the editor are invited, upon a topic of current interest or commenting on material previously or simultaneously published in the journal. These should not normally exceed 500 words. Book reviews will be published as space permits. Manuscripts are submitted with the understanding that they are original unpublished works and are not being submitted elsewhere. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from other sources and are required to sign an agreement for the transfer of copyright to the publisher.
Submission of Manuscripts
A manuscript must be concise and typed double-spaced. Submit in triplicate. On the title page, include full names of authors, academic or professional affiliations, and complete address for the corresponding author. Reference lists, tabular material, and figure legends should be typed on separate sheets. Footnotes to the text are numbered consecutively with superscript Arabic numbers. Full-length submissions should include an abstract of up to 200 words. Authors are strongly encouraged to submit manuscripts via e-mail or on disk. The disk should be prepared using WordPerfect or MS Word and should be clearly labeled with the authors¡¯ names, file name, and software program.
A Microsoft Word author template file, which also includes more detailed instructions in its "Read Me" file, can be downloaded from this page.

Illustrations
Illustrations submitted (line drawings, halftones, photos, photomicrographs, etc.) should be clean originals or digital files. Digital files are recommended for highest quality reproduction and should follow these guidelines:
- sized to fit on journal page

Four-color illustrations will be considered for publication; however, the author will be required to bear the full cost involved in their printing and publication. The charge for the first figure is $1,200. Subsequent figures, totaling no more than 4 text pages, are $500 each. Good quality color prints should be provided, in their final size. Figures needing reduction or enlargement will be charged an additional 25 percent. The publisher has the right to refuse publication of any prints deemed unacceptable

Tables and figures should not be embedded in the text, but should be included as separate sheets or files. A short descriptive title should appear above each table with a clear legend, with any footnotes suitably identified below. All units must be included. Figures should be completely labeled, taking into account necessary size reduction. Captions should be typed, double-spaced, on a separate sheet. All figures should be clearly marked in pencil on the reverse side with the number, author¡¯s name, and top edge indicated.
