  About the Journal

Neurological Sciences and Neurophysiology is the double-blind, peer-reviewed, open access, online only, international publication organ of Turkish Society of Clinical Neurophysiology EEG-EMG. The journal is a quarterly publication, published in March, June, September and December and the publication language of the journal is English.

Neurological Sciences and Neurophysiology aims to contribute to the international literature by publishing original clinical and experimental research articles, review articles, and letters to the editor on all fields of neurological sciences and especially in neurophysiology. The journal is directed at an audience of physicians and scientists of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neurophysiology, Neuropathology, Neuropsychology, Neuroradiology and Neuroscience.

Our journal was started in 1984 as the journal of Ege Neurology Assocation by Prof. Dr. Erdem Tunçbay, a neurosurgeon at the Ege University Faculty of Medicine. Prof. Dr. Nezih Oktar took over as the Editor in Chief in 1996 and with his lead the journal ceased print and became an online-only publication in the same year with the name of Journal of Neurological Sciences-Turkish. In 2015 Prof. Dr. Gülden Akdal, became the editor-in-chief. The journal was accepted for coverage in Science Citation Index Expanded in 2008. Since 2016 our journal is the official journal of the Turkish Society of Clinical Neurophysiology EEG and EMG (https://www.tkneed.org/en/)  and to reflect this new partnership, we have changed its title to Neurological Sciences and Neurophysiology.

The editorial and publication processes of the journal are shaped in accordance with the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Council of Science Editors (CSE), Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), European Association of Science Editors (EASE), and National Information Standards Organization (NISO). The journal is in conformity with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (doaj.org/ bestpractice).

Neurological Sciences and Neurophysiology is currently indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded, TUBITAK ULAKBIM TR Index, DOAJ, EMBASE and EBSCO.

  • "Pop-up" and "banner" ads appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.
  • The Editorial Board has full and final approval over the content of all advertisements.
  • Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.
