Instructions to Authors
This journal uses ScholarOne Manuscripts (previously Manuscript Central) to peer review manuscript submissions. Please read the guide for ScholarOne authors before making a submission. Complete guidelines for preparing and submitting your manuscript to this journal are provided below.
Aims and Scope. Neuropsychologists around the world often find themselves working as isolated specialists in private practice or on multidisciplinary clinical teams. Applied Neuropsychology: Adult offers them a community forum in which to discuss the implications of the latest neuropsychological research and theory for day-to-day practice across the broad spectrum of problems presented by the adult population.
In contrast to other journals, Applied Neuropsychology: Adult is solely focused on clinical applications. It publishes full-length reports of research that illuminates current conclusions from the scientific literature concerning the nature, course, or treatment of neuropsychological dysfunctions, articles addressing current professional, educational, and ethical concerns, brief communications, commentaries, case studies, and reviews of books and tests. A Grand Rounds section highlights everyday clinical issues. It presents interesting cases in which neuropsychological services made key contributions to the diagnosis and treatment of neuropsychologial disorders, as well as unusual cases or rare disorders in which neuropsychological services contribute to patient care.
Please note that Applied Neuropsychology: Adult uses CrossCheck™ software to screen papers for unoriginal material. By submitting your paper to Applied Neuropsychology: Adult you are agreeing to any necessary originality checks your paper may have to undergo during the peer review and production processes.
Submission of Manuscripts. Applied Neuropsychology: Adult receive all manuscript submissions electronically via the ScholarOne Manuscripts website located at: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/appliedneuro . ScholarOne Manuscripts allows for rapid submission of original and revised manuscripts, as well as facilitating the review process and internal communication between authors, editors, and reviewers via a web-based platform. ScholarOne Manuscripts technical support can be accessed via http://scholarone.com/services/support/ . If you have any other requests, please contact Dr. Arthur MacNeill Horton Jr., the journal’s Editor-in-Chief, at drmachorton@hotmail.com .
