The Journal has a special focus on morphology and its relation to other types of research including molecular biology and genetics. Dermatology Practical & Conceptual also has a commitment to address educational, didactical, epistemic, sociological, ethical, historical, and artistic aspects of dermatology. We publish articles with the aim to enhance the communication between clinical practitioners, diagnosticians and researchers and to provide a resource for continuing medical education in the field of dermatology with a special focus on dermatology in general medicine and pediatric dermatology. As an online-only journal, Dermatology Practical & Conceptual offers authors the opportunity to publish large numbers of illustrations, videos, and large data sets. All research articles published in Dermatology Practical & Conceptual are freely and permanently accessible online (open access policy).
