Conflict of Interest/Study Support
Authors submitting work for publication in the Journal, including those writing letters to the editors or editorials, are required to submit a conflict of interest disclosure. Review of a submission for publication will not commence and publication will not be permitted unless and until said disclosure is submitted. If there is no actual or potential conflict, the author must indicate such.
Following the references, all articles must include a section with the following headings:
Guarantor of the article: Identify the author who is accepting full responsibility for the conduct of the study. He or she must have had access to the data and have control of the decision to publish.
Specific author contributions: List the role played by each author, e.g., in planning and/or conducting the study, collecting and/or interpreting data, and/or drafting the manuscript. For each author, there should also be a statement that he or she has approved the final draft submitted.
Financial support: Disclose funding sources for the publication. Describe the role of any study sponsors in the study design, collection, analysis, and interpretation of the data and in the writing of the report. If there was funding but the work was independent of it, this must be specifically stated. (Other types of assistance—i.e., non-financial—may be acknowledged in an Acknowledgments section in the text.)
Potential competing interests: List all potential conflicts or state "None."
Benefits of publishing with Clinical and Translational Gastroenterology
Clinical and Translational Gastroenterology is the official online journal of the "American College of Gastroenterology" (ACG) and the sister journal of The American Journal of Gastroenterology. ACG is committed to publishing high quality, independently peer-reviewed research and review material.
The journal is published in partnership with Nature Publishing Group (NPG), which uses pioneering technologies, innovative formats and world-class production to provide premium information for scientific researchers in the public and private sectors, government agencies and educators.
A key strength of NPG is its close relationship with the scientific community. By working closely with scientists, listening to what they say, and always placing emphasis on quality rather than quantity, NPG is the leading scientific publisher at finding innovative solutions to scientists' information needs, both for the Nature-branded publications and those published on behalf of society partners, including ADMC.
Publishing with Clinical and Translational Gastroenterology and NPG provides an author with a wide range of benefits:
Open access
Clinical and Translational Gastroenterology will make all content freely available to all researchers worldwide, ensuring maximum dissemination of content through the nature.com platform. Content is published online on a weekly basis to provide timely communication to the community and keep publication times to a minimum.
The pricing structure for the Clinical and Translational Gastroenterology (CTG) has been revised to include two new, lower article processing charges (APCs). In addition to the standard $3,200 ACP, an American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) Member APC ($2,500) and a Preferred Transfer Rate APC ($1,900) are now available. Manuscripts authored by a current ACG member are eligible for the ACG Member APC. Authors who accept the Editors' invitation to transfer their manuscript from The American Journal of Gastroenterology (AJG) to CTG will be offered the Preferred Transfer Rate APC. Only one rate may be applied per manuscript. The ACG is pleased to announce that sponsorship, for a limited time, may be available to authors for a part of the publishing costs. Eligible authors will be contacted by the Editorial Office directly.
