European Heart Journal - Quality of Care & Clinical Outcomes is an English language, peer reviewed journal publishing cardiovascular outcomes research. It is an official journal of the European Society of Cardiology and has a close alliance with the European Heart Health Institute.
The journal publishes original research as well as topical reviews from health scientists around the world, focusing on quality of care as it affects cardiovascular outcomes at hospital, national, and international level. It provides a forum for showcasing the best cardiovascular outcomes research to inform cardiovascular public health policy globally. In addition, it aims to encourage young investigators and support growth of the outcomes research community.
Exemplar topics of relevance to the journal include novel treatment strategies and their effects on patient outcomes, electronic health record prognosis research and cost-effectiveness analyses. A global perspective with a focus on policy consequences and quality of life are important components of the material selected for publication in the journal.
