Joseph H. Astrachan is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Family Business Strategy. Joe is the Executive Director of the Cox Family Enterprise Center and the Wachovia Eminent Scholar Chair of Family Business at Kennesaw State University.
The Journal’s aim is to investigate family business strategy from different angles and disciplinary backgrounds; all starting from well-grounded theoretical foundations and with rigorous research methods.
Joe Astrachan, Editor-in-Chief of the new journal, remarked “Given that 2010...mark[s] the 130th birthday of Elsevier and the 430th anniversary of the publishing house of Elzevir, the family business from which the modern company takes its name, it seems natural that a new journal in the family business field will be affiliated with a publisher that stands for longevity, innovation, and sustainability – all attributes associated with great family enterprises.”
