EFSA’s various output types are devoted to the field of risk assessment in relation to food and feed and include nutrition, animal health and welfare, plant health and plant protection. News The EFSA Journal accepted into the Science Citation Index Expanded We are excited to announce that the EFSA Journal has been accepted into the Science Citation Index Expanded. The journal expects to receive its first Impact Factor in the 2019 JCR release and will remain in the category of Food Science and Technology. Scope of the EFSA Journal   The EFSA Journal covers methods of risk assessment, reports on data collected, and risk assessments in the individual areas of plant health, plant protection products and their residues, genetically modified organisms, additives and products or substances used in animal feed, animal health and welfare, biological hazards including BSE/TSE, contaminants in the food chain, food contact materials, enzymes, flavourings and processing aids, food additives and nutrient sources added to food, dietetic products, nutrition and allergies.
