Editorial Management
The editorial management of Custos e @gronegócio on line is based on a functional perspective fitted to its academic specificity considering both open and shared processes composed by an Editorial Board, one General Editor, one Executive Editor and a Reviewier's Board.
The Editorial Board (Editorial Policy Board) is composed by members of the cientific comunity from several institutions and relevant to the field. Its duty is to stablish, as well as reformulate, the editorial directives of the periodic whenever is necessary.
The General Editor position is placed by an researcher from UFRPE that posses relevant academic background in the field. It is up the the General Editor to represent UFRPE inside the Editorial Board, to coordinate the editorial process (reception of originals, carry out the desk review, alocate the articles for evaluation and comunicate the evaluation results), look up to the academic credibility of the journal, assure the highest ethical standards for editorial management, maintain the mail updated and present reports to UFRPE regarding to the evaluation of the periodic obtained from CAPES' QUALIS System.
The Executive Editor position is placed by the Director of the department of Management (DADM/UFRPE). It is up to the Executive Editor to perform institutional representation.
The Reviewer's Board is composed by researchers that represent the academic field from both public and private institutions located all over Brazil. It is up tho the Reviewer's Board to evaluate the articles submitted as well as to provide constructive analysis as fast as possible.
Good Practices of Editorial Governance
Custos e @gronegócio on line has accepted the Scientific Publicatios Good Practices sponsored by Associação Nacional de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação em Administração (ANPAD) by assuming that the editorial process is a relevant service for lectures, researchers and students as well as to professionals of the field with the aim to enable acess to knowledge.
Its solid institutional background, its fast desk review (up to thirty days), the shared editorial process (Editorial Board and Reviewer's Board composed mainly by researchers from outside UFRPE), the impossibility of submission of any article that has the General Editor as author (or co-author) and the full independence of the evaluation process assures a high quality for the editorial governance.
Endogeny
Another relevant aspect is the low endogeny relating to authors' institutional affiliation. Almost all articles published in Custos e @gronegócio on line were submitted by authors affiliated in institutions located all across Brazil or institutions from other countries.
Mission
Free and wide divulgation of scientific articles witch contribute to the growth of knowledge related to issues of the agribusiness context through several perspectives of research and appliance inherent to costs accounting that pursues current and relevant interest.
Public
Lecturesrs researchers, undergraduate and graduate students, as well as professionals from related fields of knowledge that have some interest or has any academic perspective among the interface between cost accounting and agribusiness.
Editorial Policy
The editorial directive of this electronic journal emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach of the insertion of cost accounting in the context of agribusiness as a field of knowledge through the divulgation of results from theoretical and empirical investigations, essays, as well as articles related to thesis and dissertations presented in Brazilian or foreign graduate programs.
Periodicity
Until the year of 2007, the issues of Custos e @gronegócio on line were delivered by semester. Between 2008 and 2011, it's issues were delivered quarterly. From 2012 on, it's issues became to be delivered treemonthly.
Circulation
The access to the articles published in this electronic journal will be free through the internet.
Instructions to Authors
FORMAT OF ARTICLES
General Guidelines
Custos e @gronegócio on line will give preference the publication of original papers that present relevant contributions for the study of agribusiness from the insertion of cost accounting in considering a wide range of approcahes, such as theoretical-empirical investigations, structured with compatible theoretical references and methodological support or theoretical essays.
Papers previously presented in academic conferences and published in their proceedings may be considered for publication, since all relevant information, such as event identification, location and period are given correctly. Papers can be submitted in Portuguese, English, or Spanish, since they have been originally written in one of these languages. Only papers that follow the correct format guidelines described below will be considered for publication.
The opinions expressed in published articles in this journal are exclusively responsibility of their authors. As a free access journal, the act of submitting an article to Custos e @gronegócio on line means the acceptance of formal resignation of any copyright by the authors. Papers can be reproduced totally or partially since named the source.

Format Guidelines
The articles must be submitted in a single file according to the following format guidelines:
First page
• First line - Title of the article (Times New Roman 14 - cetralized); • Two lines below - Full name of the author(s) (Times New Roman 12, as well as others elements of front page); • Line below - Credentials of the author(s); • Line below - Institutional affiliation of author(s); • Line below – Address for correspondence and e-mail of the author(s); • Two lines below - Abstract of the article (minimum of 150 and a maximum of 200 words); • Two lines below – Three key-words; • Specific reference indicating if the article has been previously presented in any congress.
Second page
• First line - Title of the article (Times New Roman 14 - centralized) • Two lines below – Beginning of text (Times New Roman 12 - justified).
Text specifications
The articles must be typed according to the following specifications:
• Word processor 6.0 or latter version; • A4 page size; • Margin spaces: Top:3, Botton:2, Left:3, Right:2; • Font: Times New Roman 12; • Space between lines: 1,5; • Size of text: Up to 35 pages, including figures, tables and references.
EVALUATION
Evaluation Process
All articles submitted to the evaluation process must be structured according to the format guidelines. In the first step of the evaluation process, a desk review is carried out by the General Editor to verify the adequacy of the articles among the thematic areas.
In the second step, the articles will be sent to double blind review that will be carried out by two reviewers according to the technical criteria established by the editorial board. If these evaluations are conflicting with each other, a third reviewer will be assigned by the general editor to evaluate the article.
The authors will be informed about all comments from the reviewers and, if necessary, take them into consideration to perform all cahnges required to their respective articles.
After performing all changes asked by the reviewers, the articles should be sent to the editing process for publication.
