Submission Process:
Manuscripts may be submitted electronically as follows:
Manuscripts should be submitted online at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/ncmr. Authors must supply an email address as all correspondence will be by email. Two files should be supplied: the covering letter and the manuscript (in Word or rich text format (.rtf)). The covering letter should be uploaded as a file not for review in keeping with the double-blind review process.
The body of the email should provide:
(a) Your postal address and telephone number, as well as any other information that you believe is necessary (e.g. that all correspondence should be sent to the second author, etc.)
(b) Select no more than three topic codes for your manuscript from the list of Topic Codes
(c) Nominations (optional) of up to four recommended reviewers who possess suitable expertise and who have no conflict of interest with the author or paper being reviewed. NCMR will make an effort to select one author-nominated reviewer. Please note:
(i) Nominated reviewers should not be mentors, protégés, collaborators, one’s own university colleagues or regular co-authors (any co-author relationship should be disclosed, including citations of the papers co-authored with the nominee so that the editor is able to assess whether the co-author nominee is sufficiently “distant” from the author).
(ii) Nominated reviewers must preserve blind review. If a nominated reviewer could reasonably be expected to know who wrote the paper (e.g. presented at a workshop), then they should not be recommended.
(iii) Nominated reviewers may not be co-authors, mentors, collaborators, or one's own university colleagues.
(iv) If nominated reviewers are recommended, for each recommendation, the authors must provide (1) a rationale for the nomination and (2) complete contact and affiliation information. In addition, any potential relationship with the recommended reviewers must be disclosed.
(d) Your email should include a statement that your submission complies with the NCMR Manuscript Submission Policies (see below). Include the statement, “I (we) affirm that my (our) manuscript conforms to the submission policy of NCMR and is not under review elsewhere.”
NEW: Online production tracking is now available for your article through Wiley-Blackwell’s Author Services
Author Services enables authors to track their article, once it has been accepted, through the production process to publication online and in print. Authors can check the status of their articles online and choose to receive automated e-mails at key stages of production so they do not need to contact the Production Editor to check on progress.
