About the journal

EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. It brings science and applications together with emphasis on both practical and theoretical aspects of signal processing in new and emerging technologies. It is directed as much at the practicing engineer as at the academic researcher. EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing will highlight the extended reach and the diverse applications of signal processing and encourage a cross-fertilization of techniques. All papers should attempt to bring theory to life with practical simulations and examples. EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing employs paperless, electronic review process to foster fast and speedy turnaround in review process.
Application areas include (but are not limited to): communications, networking, sensors and actuators, radar and sonar, medical imaging, biomedical applications, remote sensing, consumer electronics, computer vision, pattern recognition, robotics, fiber optic sensing/transducers, industrial automation, transportation, stock market and financial analysis, seismography, avionics.

Instructions to Authors
The aim of the EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing is to highlight the theoretical and practical aspects of signal processing in new and emerging technologies. The journal is directed as much at the practicing engineer as at the academic researcher. Authors of articles with novel contributions to the theory and/or practice of signal processing are welcome to submit their articles for consideration. All manuscripts undergo a rigorous review process. EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing employs a paperless, electronic review process to enable a fast and speedy turnaround in the review process.
The journal is an Open Access journal since 2007.
Each article type published by EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing follows a specific format, as detailed in the corresponding instructions for authors; please choose an article type from the list on the left to view the instructions for authors.
The instructions for authors includes information about preparing a manuscript for submission to EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, criteria for publication and the online submission process. Other relevant information about the journal's policies, the refereeing process and so on can be found in 'About this journal'.
Submission checklist:
Please make sure you have satisfied the points on the following checklist before submitting your manuscript. If you have any questions about the submission process, please contact info@springeropen.com. If you are submitting a manuscript to a particular Special Issue, please refer to its specific name in your covering letter.
1. Email addresses Do you have a list of the email addresses for all the co-authors of the manuscript? You will need to provide these so that we can inform the co-authors when the manuscript has been received and when it is published.
2. Instructions for Authors Have you read the detailed Instructions for Authors for EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing? You may also like to read EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing's peer review policy.
If you are planning to submit a TeX file, please submit your TeX file as the main manuscript file and your bib/bbl file as a dependent file. Please also convert your TeX file into a PDF and submit this PDF as an additional file with the name 'Reference PDF'. This PDF will be used by internal staff as a reference point to check the layout of the article as the author intended.
3. Covering letter, peer reviewers and editorial board selection Have you prepared a covering letter for your submission, explaining why we should publish your manuscript and elaborating on any issues relating to our editorial policies detailed in the instructions for authors, and declaring any potential competing interests? This should be provided using the 'cover letter' section of the submission process. And do you have the contact details (including email addresses) of at least two potential peer reviewers for your paper, which you will need at the same time? These should be experts in your field of study, who will be able to provide an objective assessment of the manuscript's quality. Any peer reviewers you suggest should not have recently published with any of the authors of your manuscript and should not be members of the same research institution. You will be asked to select the one or two Editorial Board members whose interests most closely match the subject of your manuscript.
4. Manuscript files Do you have all the files for the manuscript in an acceptable format?
· Main manuscript Formats: DOC, DOCX , PDF , RTF (rich text format) , DVI , TEX Tables less than 2 pages (about 90 rows) should be included at the end of the manuscript. Longer tables should be submitted, and referred to in the text, as additional files. TeX files must use the SpringerOpen TeX template.
· Figure files Formats: EPS , PDF (for line drawings) , PNG , TIFF (for photographs and screen dumps) , JPEG (for photographs and screen dumps) , BMP , DOC, DOCX , PPT, PPTX Must be separate files, not embedded in the main manuscript.
· Additional files May be any standard type of file, eg. movies, datasets, large tables etc. Files must be named with the three letter file extension appropriate to the file type (eg .pdf, .xls, .txt) Additional material files should include necessary material that cannot be included in the PDF version of the published article, such as large datasets or movies . Tables should ordinarily be included in the manuscript file, unless they are exceptionally large (more than 2 manuscript pages or 90 rows). The manuscript file should include a short description of any additional files and software necessary to view them.
Please refer to the Instructions for Authors for further information about suitable file types.
5. Article-processing charges An article processing charge of £875/US$1425/€1050 is payable for articles accepted for publication in EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing.
If your institution, society or other organization is a member, this cost may be wholly or partly covered by the membership arrangement. If you are applying for an institutional membership payment, the submitting author must be affiliated with the member institution.
Article processing charge waivers or discounts are granted on a case-by-case basis to authors who lack funds. To apply for a waiver or discount, please request one during the submission process. A decision on the waiver will normally be made within two working days.
