About the journal

International Journal of Strategic Property Management is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal which publishes original research papers. The journal provides a forum for discussion and debate relating to all areas of strategic property management. Topics include, but are not limited to, the following: asset management, facilities management, property policy, budgeting and financial controls, enhancing residential property value, marketing and leasing, risk management, real estate valuation and investment, innovations in residential management, housing finance, sustainability and housing development, applications of information technologies in property management, mathematical methods in property management, international comparisons and developments, theoretical and conceptual frameworks for strategic property management, etc. All submissions are subject to review by two independent referees.

Manuscript submission
International Journal of Strategic Property Management uses ScholarOne Manuscripts (previously Manuscript Central) to peer-review manuscript submissions. Please read the guide for ScholarOne authors before making a submission. Online user guides and access to a helpdesk are available on this website. Once a user is logged into the site, submissions should be made via the Author Centre .
International Journal of Strategic Property Management considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that the material submitted to the Journal must be original, must not have appeared in another publication and must not be submitted for publication elsewhere while under consideration for the Journal. Authors who fail to adhere to these conditions will be charged with all costs that International Journal of Strategic Property Management incurs in regard to processing their manuscript. Any paper that has been previously published or is under review elsewhere will not be published in the Journal.
Peer Review, Criteria for Acceptance and Corrections
Using double-blind peer review system , neither reviewers’ nor author’s identities are revealed to the other party to ensure the quality of research published in the Journal. Manuscripts that are appropriate for the journal are reviewed by at minimum two experts in the field. Authors of manuscripts rejected during review process will be informed if the manuscript may be resubmitted after it is corrected according to given recommendations. If your manuscript has been previously submitted elsewhere please ensure that it follows the guidelines of this journal. The final decision to accept or reject the manuscript will also be sent to the corresponding author along with any recommendations made by the referees.
- Topic and content of the manuscript must fit the aims and scope of the International Journal of Strategic Property Management ;
- Contributions to International Journal of Strategic Property Management must report original research and will be subject to peer-review;
- The language of the manuscript submitted for consideration for possible publication will be evaluated by our editors to decide if it is of sufficient quality. If English is not your first language, it is strongly recommended to have your manuscript checked by a native speaker or an English language specialist before submission, in order to ensure that the language is acceptable;
- Structure and design of the Manuscript should be adjusted to the requirements presented in the template available here ,
- Financial research support (funding) should be indicated in acknowledgements when submitting the manuscript for review;
- Please note that International Journal of Strategic Property Management uses CrossCheck™ software to screen papers for unoriginal material. By submitting your paper to International Journal of Strategic Property Management you are agreeing to any necessary originality checks your paper may have to undergo during the peer reviewand production processes;
- Special requirements of the journal – there is no strict length limitation on submitted manuscripts but they will normally be expected to fall within the range of 5,000–8,000 words.
Copyright and authors’ rights
It is a condition of publication that authors assign copyright or license the publication rights in their articles, including abstracts, to Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) Press Technika. This enables VGTU and Taylor & Francis to ensure full copyright protection and to disseminate the article, and of course the Journal, to the widest possible readership in print and electronic formats as appropriate. Authors retain many rights under the VGTU Press Technika and Taylor & Francis rights policies, which can be found at http://journalauthors.tandf.co.uk/preparation/copyright.asp . Authors are themselves responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyright material from other sources. If the authors received any financing for their research, it should be indicated in the Copyright agreement.
Exceptions are made for certain Governments’ employees whose policies require that copyright cannot be transferred to other parties. We ask that a signed statement to this effect is submitted when returning proofs for accepted papers.
Reproduction of copyrighted material
Authors are required to secure a permission to reproduce any proprietary text, illustration, table, or other material, including data, audio, video, film stills, and screenshots, and any supplementary material proposed for submission.

Corresponding authors will receive free online access to their article through our website, Taylor & Francis Online.
