About the journal
Journal of Environmental Engineering and Landscape Management is a research journal of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) and is acknowledged by The Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and International Academy of Ecological and Life Protection Sciences (IAELPS) which is an associate member of the Public Information Department of United Nations.
Since 1995 the Journal of Environmental Engineering was published instead of the previous research proceedings Environmental Protection of Vilnius Technical University (2 issues since 1993). In 1995-1998 6 issues were published (2 issues per year). Since 1998 the Journal Environmental Engineering started to be published in volumes (one volume of 4 issues per year).
Since 2003 the Journal was published under a new title - Journal of Environmental Engineering and Landscape Management -(annually one volume of 4 issues) with proceeded issue numeration.
Since 2005 the Journal of Environmental Engineering and Landscape Management is published in volumes (one volume of 4 issues per year) with proceeded issue numeration. Articles in English and in other languages (Lithuanian, German and Russian) are being accepted.
Publication of the Journal is funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania.
The Journal is designed for publishing papers concerning the following areas of research:
atmosphere air pollution control and pollution mitigation technologies,
water pollution control and pollution mitigation technologies,
soil pollution control and pollution mitigation technologies,
entrails of the earth, their protection,
waste management, zero-waste technologies,
environmental expertise,
physical and technological environmental impacts control and reduction technologies,
nuclear hydrophysics and radioactive pollution,
modelling of environmental processes,
environmental monitoring,
landscape protection,
environmental ethics,
environmental law and management,
quality of indoor and outdoor environment
Besides, it publishes: short reports and observations, reviews and bibliography, reports about conferences and workshops.

Instructions to Authors
The Journal publishes original unpublished research articles in Lithuanian, English, German and Russian languages.
Manuscript is must prepared in MS Word editor and of Times New Roman type. The text of the manuscript should be printed in Single interval on pages of 210x297 mm format: with margins of 20 mm from right and left and 26 mm from top and bottom. Typical volume of the manuscript usually varies from 8 to 12 edited pages. The pagination is made by an ordinary pencil. The author(s) must sign the second copy of the manuscript (at the end, below information about author(s)).
A manuscript should include the following parts: title, the author’s first and last names, name and address of representing institution (different institutions represented by the authors are recorded in foot-notes), emails of each author, summary (in the same language in which the manuscript’s text is prepared), keywords. Text of a manuscript should include: 1. Introduction (review of related literature, aim of the work), 2. Methods (comprehensive description of methods, sampling site description, sample processing, equipment and statistical analysis), 3. Results and discussion (discussion about results and theoretic reasoning, ect.), 4. Conclusions, Acknowledgements, References, abstracts in other two languages (if manuscript is in Lithuanian, the other abstracts should be in English and Russian; if manuscript is in English, the other abstracts should be in Lithuanian and Russian; if manuscript is in Russian, the other abstracts should be in Lithuanian and English; if manuscript is in German, the other abstracts should be in Lithuanian and English) (above each abstract the title and authors and below abstract the keywords should be printed), information about each author (first and last names, institution, publications, research fields). The author for correspondence should be presented: his first and last names, his institution, contact phone, email.
The title of the article should be printed 60 mm below the sheet top by capital letters of 12 pt Bold type and centered. There is a Single line interval between the title and the author’s name. The names and surnames of the author or co-authors should be printed by small letters of 11 pt Bold type and centered. Below the author’s surname, the name of institution (represented by the author or co-authors) is printed in 10 pt Italic, its address, the author’s E-mail are written and centered.
Abstract and keywords are printed in Single interval of 9 pt type in one column and after the institution address the margins of 30 mm and interval of three lines below the institution address are left. Words Abstract and Keywords are printed in Bold. The volume of the abstract cannot be less than 1 000 and no more than 1 600 typographic signs (including spaces). Between the abstract and keywords there should be an interval of one line. The keywords should be limited to 8 items.
Introduction, main text and conclusions are to be printed in 10 pt type Single interval into two columns at the distance of 1 line from keywords. Between the two columns a space of 6 mm is to be left. The first line of the paragraph is to be shifted by 7 mm from the left margin. The last page of the article is to be filled not less than by 70%. The titles of introduction, chapters and sub-chapters are printed by small letters in 10 pt Bold-Regular type and aligned left. The introduction, titles of chapters and conclusions are numbered by one Arabic numeral and sub-chapters by two numerals. The titles of chapters and sub-chapters should be separated from the text by one-line interval.
Mathematical dependences, their notations in the text and other symbols should be written in Equation Editor 3 Italic 10 pt type, the indexes by 7 pt, subindexes by 6 pt. Matrices are written in square brackets. All the numerals, including index numbers, are presented in Regular type. Formulas are centered. They are numbered by Arabic numerals in round brackets and aligned right. Between a formula and text there should be an interval of one line.
Figures and tables should be put in the place where they are mentioned; and they are centered. Larger tables and figures may be put at the top of a sheet or at the bottom across the whole breadth. Figures are drawn by computer and additionally presented by one of these fails: *.jpg, *.tif, *.wmf or *.pcx. Photos (colored and black-and-white type) should be of good quality, clear and suitable for reproduction. The numbers of figures and tables (for instance, Fig 1, Table 3) and inscriptions below are written in 9 pt of Regular type. Figures and tables are separated from the text by one-line interval.
References. The list of references (more than 20) is given after conclusions. The word References is spelled in small letters of 10 pt Bold-Regular type on the left side and the list of references in 9 pt. The references are to be presented according to the rules.
Editorial Board has a right to not accept submission, if it does not comply with above mentioned requirements. When submitting the revised manuscript must follow with explanations regarding changes made according to reviewers remarks on a separate sheet of paper signed by corresponding author.
