About the journal
Aims and scope

The International Journal for Peptide Research & Therapeutics is an international, peer-reviewed journal focusing on issues, research, and integration of knowledge on the latest developments in peptide therapeutics. The Journal brings together in a single source the most exciting work in peptide research, including isolation, structural characterization, synthesis and biological activity of peptides, and thereby aids in the development of unifying concepts from diverse perspectives. The Journal invites substantial contributions in the following thematic areas:

-New advances in peptide drug delivery systems.

-Application of peptide therapeutics to specific diseases.

-New advances in synthetic methods.

-The development of new procedures for construction of peptide libraries and methodology for screening of such mixtures.

-The use of peptides in the study of enzyme specificity and mechanism, receptor binding and antibody/antigen interactions

-Applications of such techniques as chromatography, electrophoresis, NMR and X-ray crystallography, mass spectrometry.

Types of Manuscripts
Review articles, original articles, short communications, letters to the Editor and book reviews will be considered for publication. Please contact the Publisher for full details.
Online Manuscript Submission
Springer offers authors, editors and reviewers of IJPRT the use of our fully web-enabled online manuscript submission and review system. To keep the review time as short as possible, we request authors to submit manuscripts online to the journal's editorial office. Our online manuscript submission and review system offers authors the option to track the progress of the review process of manuscripts in real time. Manuscripts should be submitted to:
http://IJPR.edmgr.com

The online manuscript submission and review system for IJPRT offers easy and straightforward log-in and submission procedures. This system supports a wide range of submission file formats: for manuscripts - Word, WordPerfect, RTF, TXT, and LaTex; for figures - TIFF, GIF, JPEG, EPS, PPT, and Postscript. PDF is not an acceptable format.

Style of Manuscripits
Manuscripts should be typed with double spacing on standard size paper. Spelling should conform to Webster’s International Dictionary and System International (SI) units should be used throughout. Abbreviations should be kept to a minimum and be defined at first mention. Generic names should be used for drugs (brand names may be inserted in parentheses). The title page should include a concise and descriptive title for the paper, the full name(s) of the author(s); the institutional affiliation of each author; the name and address of the corresponding author (including e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers); an abbreviated title; and any acknowledgment of financial or material support. This should be followed by the abstract page, summarizing in bold font 12, no more than 250 words the reason for the study, the major finding (with specific data if possible), and the principal conclusions, and providing 3-6 key words for indexing purposes. Emphasis of headings should follow these font styles: Introduction, font 14 bold; subheading, font 12 bold, and sub-heading, font 12 italics. The text of the report should then proceed as follows:

Introduction. Describe the background of the investigation, citing only essential references, and state the aim(s) of the study.

Materials and Methods. Give sufficient detail for future repetition. Describe new methods in detail; providing references and brief descriptions for previously published methods. Research on human subjects should indicate that ethical approval was obtained.

Results and Discussion. Present data in a single form. Emphasis should be on clear and precise presentation of results and their significance in relation to the aim of the investigation. Review the results of the study in the light of previously published work.

Concluding Remarks. Give a brief conclusion of less than 200 words.

Acknowledgments. Detail contributions, including technical help or other assistance, requiring acknowledgment but not justifying authorship in less than 50 words.

References. References should appear alphabetically. The reference list must be double spaced and should include: names and initials of all authors when there are six or fewer (when there are more than six authors, list the only first three followed by et al.), full title of the article, journal title abbreviated according to Index Medicus, year, volume number and page span. For reference cited from books, the chapter title should be followed by the names and initials of the editors, the book title, edition, place of publication, publisher, year and page span.

References are to appear in Harvard style in text:
Jones (2003) or (Jones, 2003)
Jones and Smith (2004) or (Jones and Smith, 2004)
Jones et al. (2004), Jones and colleagues (2004) or (Jones et al., 2004)
Multiple ones separated by a ??/SPAN>

Only accepted papers should be referenced; all other material should be referred to in the text as "in preparation" "personal communication"or "unpublished observations"and should not be included in the reference list (see also Permissions). Authors are responsible for the accuracy of their references.
Style for Illustrations
All tables and illustrations must be numbered and referred to in the text, with appropriate locations indicated in the text margin. Tables should be typed with double spacing with a descriptive title and, if appropriate, units of numerical measurements included in the column heading. All lettering should be large enough to permit legible reduction. Axes should be labeled clearly; any other lettering should be kept to a minimum. Magnifications should be shown with scale bars. Color illustrations are acceptable, but authors will be expected to cover the extra reproduction costs: $1150 per article. Suggested figure formats: TIFF, GIF, EPS, PPT, and Postscript. Files should be at least 300 dpi.

Authors are themselves responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyright material from other sources.
Proofing
Please be sure to include your e-mail address on your paper. If your paper is accepted, we will provide proofs electronically. Your cooperation is appreciated. The proofread copy should be returned to the Publisher within 72 hours.

This form returns to authors and their employers full rights to reuse their material for their own purposes. Authors must submit a signed copy of this form with their manuscript.
Appendices and Supplementary Material
Authors who wish to publish electronic supplementary material to their article (Excel files, images, audio/video files) are requested to submit their manuscript via our online submission system, with a note in the author comments box that supplementary material will be submitted separately by email. This email, containing the supplementary material, should be sent to the Production Editor. In the email, the title of the submitted manuscript as well as the name of the corresponding author should be given.
Springer Open Choice
In addition to the normal publication process (whereby an article is submitted to the journal and access to that article is granted to customers who have purchased a subscription), Springer now provides an alternative publishing option: Springer Open Choice. A Springer Open Choice article receives all the benefits of a regular subscription−based article, but in addition is made available publicly through Springers online platform SpringerLink. To publish via Springer Open Choice, upon acceptance please click on the link below to complete the relevant order form and provide the required payment information. Payment must be received in full before publication or articles will publish as regular subscription−model articles. We regret that Springer Open Choice cannot be ordered for published articles.
