About the journal
The main aim of Catalysis Surveys from Asia is to disseminate as early as possible the important findings or movements from Asia which possibly lead to new concepts in catalyst design. Rapid, invited, short reviews or accounts from academia and industry will constitute the major part of this journal. Surveys of recent progress and activities in catalytic science and technology and related areas in Asia will be covered regularly as well. The journal will be issued twice a year. We would appreciate colleagues in the world reading the articles in Catalysis Surveys from Asia to send us critical comments. If requested and thought appropriate, the comments will be included in the journal. We would be very happy if this small, renovated journal will stimulate global communication between the scientists and engineers in the world of catalysis.

- Tables (if any) should be numbered consecutively and each should have a caption.
- Originals or good prints of all figures and diagrams in the manuscript should be submitted with the manuscript itself. These should be drawn to professional standards. The lettering on all originals must be of such a size that after reduction of the drawing to one column or page width (8.4 or 17.2 cm) the letters will still be at least 2 mm high. Half−tone black and white photographs are acceptable. They should be rich of contrast. Micro−photographs should have the enlargement stated in the caption.
- References should be given in numerical order as they appear in the manuscript text and cited in the following manner:
For a journal paper

For a contributed volume paper
[2] Y. Ono and T. Baba, in: Catalysis, Vol. 1, ed. J.J. Spivey (The Royal Society of Chemistry, London, 2000) Ch. 1.
For a monograph
[3] K. Tanabe, M. Misono, Y. Ono and H. Hattori, New Solid Acids and Bases (Kodansha-Elsevier, Tokyo, 1989).
- Footnotes should be avoided whenever possible and (if any) integrated in the text.
