Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities - tacitly or explicitly - at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

Statement file
Manuscript should be accompanied by the authors' Statement concerning the submitted to the Acta of Bioengineering and Biomechanics Editorial Office article. Statement should equipped with the original signatures of all co-authors.

Transfer of Copyright Agreement
In order to protect creative works of authors from plagiarism and other unlawful uses as well as to protect work and investments of the publisher in the production, marketing and distribution of the articles written by the authors, the publisher requests a formal written transfer of copyright from the author(s) for each article published. The publisher and authors are also concerned in maintaining the integrity of an refereed and accepted for publication article. In order to protect that reference value and validation process effectively, we ask that the authors recognize that distribution (including the Internet and other on-line means) of the accepted for publication article is best administered by the publisher. Please complete and return this form promptly.

Online Submission
Authors should submit the manuscripts online. Please follow the hyperlink "Paper submission" on the right and upload all of your manuscript files following the instructions.

THE MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION SHOULD INCLUDE:

  • Title: the title should be short and informative, and should not contain an abbreviations.
  • Abstract: abstract should contains 150-250 words. Abbreviations and special characters are not permitted. It should be divided into: purpose, methods, results, conclusions.
  • Keywords: 3-6 key words should be given for subject indexing.
  • Body text including References: a maximum of 25 references should be provided, styled according to the instructions for authors.
  • Tables and high quality figures.

    AUTHORS' Information
    The Authors' information should contain:

  • The order of the list of authors is unequivocal with the order of the authors' list in the article. Each author should indicate the institution and department name, city and country.
  • Author to whom correspondence and request of reprints of published paper will be send have to provide mailing address, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address. The role and contribution of each co-author in the manuscript preparation should be determine by the following categories:
    A. The preparation of the research program
    B. The execution of research
    C. The statistical analysis
    D. The interpretation of data
    E. Preparation of the manuscript
    F. Obtain financing

      Ghostwriting and guest authorship
"Ghostwriting" and "guest authorship" is a manifestation of scientific dishonesty, and any detected cases will expose, including notification of relevant subjects (institutions employing the authors, scientific societies, scientific associations of editors, etc.).

      ABSTRACT
Please provide a structured abstract which should be divided into the following sections:

    • Purpose (stating the main purposes and research question),
    • Methods,
    • Results,
    • Conclusions.
Abstract should contains 150-250 words. Abbreviations and special characters are
      not permitted.

      KEYWORDS
Please provide 3 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes.

      TEXT FORMATTING

    • Manuscript should be writing in English.
    • Manuscripts can contain maximum 20 pages including tables, figures, references and acknowledgements.
    • Manuscripts should be writing in Word on A4 paper size with margins of 2.5 cm using Times New Roman font size 12 1,5-spaced.
    • The text of articles must be divided into sections with headers:
    • Introduction - state the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.
    • Materials and Methods - provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference: only relevant modifications should be described.
    • Results - should be clear and concise.
    • Discussion - this should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them.
    • Conclusions - the main conclusions of the study may be presented in a short Conclusions section, which may stand alone or form a subsection of a Discussion
    • References - a maximum of 25 references can be provided, styled according to the instructions for authors.

      ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
Acknowledgments of people, grants, funds, etc. should be placed in a separate section before the reference list. The names of funding organizations should be written in full.

      REFERENCES
Citation in manuscript text: Reference citations in the text should be identified by numbers in square brackets. Citations must be included alphabetically. Some examples:

    • The methods and the application of infrared spectroscopy are described in previous part [1].
    • This result was later contradicted to Adams [5].
    • The technique is considered as non-invasive [2]-[7].

      Reference list
The list of references should only include works that are cited in the text and that have been published or accepted for publication (cited by DOI number). Footnotes or endnotes used as a substitute for a reference list is not permitted. The entries in the list should be numbered consecutively:

      REVIEW PROCEDURE
Each submitted to Acta of Bioengineering and Biomechanics Editorial Office article is recorded in the articles database. Editor in Chief decides about pre-qualification for publication in the journal, assesses whether the submitted manuscript is consistent with the journal area of interest and decides on the selection of two independent reviewers from outside the scientific institution of the authors. Reviewers of the Acta of Bioengineering and Biomechanics are specialists in the scientific area to which concern the submitted paper.

Reviewers can undertake four decisions on the submitted work:

    • Accept without amendments
    • Take after minor corrections
    • Re-evaluate after major revision
    • Reject

After receiving two compatible reviews, Editor in Chief prepares substantive review of manuscript done on the basis of the opinion of two reviewers and sends it to the Corresponding Author in the form of an editorial letter. In case of conflicting reviews, Editor in Chief appoints a third reviewer, whose decision is binding.

      ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The authors of each article will receive 20 reprints of Acta of Bioengineering and Biomechanics free of charge.
