About the journal

Aims & Scope
Tourism Geographies, a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal which explores tourism and tourism-related areas of recreation and leisure studies from a geographic perspective. This journal brings together academic and applied research and regional traditions from around the world, including multi-disciplinary approaches from geography and related fields such as anthropology and other social sciences, landscape architecture, urban and regional planning, and environmental science and management.
Tourism Geographies publishes blind reviewed research articles, regional reports, case studies, research and methodological reports, commentaries, literature reviews and news of affiliated organisations.
Peer Review Statement
All research articles and commentaries in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, including editor screening and a double-blind evaluation process by two to three anonymous referees.
All literature review and discussion forum articles in this journal have undergone screening by journal editors.

2. The first page of the submission should include the title of the manuscript and the names and affiliations of all contributors, including full address, telephone number, fax number and e-mail. The address for correspondence should also be highlighted.
3. Submission should be in UK or US English (provided usage is consistent), typed in double spacing with wide margins, on one side of A4 or American letter-size paper only.
4. The second page should consist of the title, abstract (between 50 and 200 words) and up to six keywords. The author's name should not appear on this page. A version of the abstract may also be included in French, German and/or Spanish on a separate page.
5. Tables and figures should not be included as part of the text but should be submitted on separate sheets. They should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals with a descriptive caption. The desired position of each table and figure should be indicated in the text.
6. References should be indicated in the text by author and date. Include page numbers for quotations.
7. Quotations of 40 words or more should be extracted and indented.
8. Footnotes are not accepted - all important information should be incorporated in the text.
9. A reference list should be included, in alphabetical order by author, at the end of the manuscript. The content and format should conform to the following examples:

10. All papers that conform to the guidelines stipulated and deemed of acceptable quality by the receiving Editor will undergo a blind review process. If accepted for publication, the final revised version of the entire paper must be submitted in digital format, as well as hard copy. Preferred formats are Wordperfect or MS Word (Rich text format or ASCII). Authors will be required to complete a Publishing Agreement form assigning copyright to the Publisher.
11. Free article access: Corresponding authors will receive free online access to their article through our website (www.informaworld.com) and a complimentary copy of the issue containing their article. 12. Corrections should be clearly identified and returned within three working days of receipt. Major alterations cannot be accepted.
13. It is a condition of publication that authors assign copyright or licence the publication rights in their articles, including abstracts, to Taylor & Francis. This enables us to ensure full copyright protection and to disseminate the article, and of course the Journal, to the widest possible readership in print and electronic formats as appropriate.
