General Specifications

A manuscript should be submitted using Journal Submission System.

Manuscripts submitted for publication in the journal must be original and previously unpublished. The manuscripts will be reviewed by the independent experts, whose names are kept in secrecy. Accepted for publication manuscripts should be corrected by the author taking into account experts remarks, otherwise motivated author’s refusal to correct his manuscript should be presented.

If your paper is accepted, you will be required to upload your final manuscript version including AUTHOR's guarantee form, two referee reports and payment copy inserted in the end of the article or a compressed manuscript, AUTHOR's guarantee form, two referee reports and payment copy file by the Final Manuscript Submission Deadline given in e-mail.

Before you begin the submission process be sure your paper is formatted according to the Journal Paper Requirements. Your paper will be rejected if it is not compliant with the journal format style.

Information About Manuscript Preparation

The following structure of a paper is recommended: introduction, main text (separation of analytical and experimental parts is desirable), conclusions, references and summary (in English,  Russian and Lithuanian languages). Summaries should be identical in all three languages and cover the essence of the article. For foreign authors the summary in English is only obligatory.

Language. Papers should be written in English.

Length. The length of a paper text should be strictly 4 or 6 pages including figures, references and summary, not less than 75% the last page should be filled. Summaries should be of about 700 characters (with spaces). (The decision of Lithuanian Science Council No.V-3, February 23, 2000)

A system of measurement. SI units must be used in the text, tables and graphs.

Software. A manuscript should be typed with single spacing using Microsoft Office Word editor. Times New Roman font must be used. The text should be typed in two columns on A4 format sheets; spacing between columns should be 6 mm. The following margins should be ensured: top - 20 mm, bottom - 25 mm, left - 18 mm, right - 18 mm. The title of an article should be printed in 16 pt (bold), author’s name - 14 pt (Bold), title of the institution - 10 pt (Italic), headings of the chapters - 10 pt (Bold), the main paper’s text -10 pt, summaries - 9 pt, references - 9 pt, indexes - 8 pt, text of the tables - 9 pt, formula using Microsoft Equation 2.0 or 3.0 in the text - 10 pt, indexes - 8 pt, subindexes -7 pt (all symbols - Italic, vectors Bold, numbers - Regular). For symbols from the figures and graphs mentioned in the text Italic characters should be used.

Authors. At the beginning of the paper, underneath the author’s name and family name, the following data about authors should be presented: business connection, phone (office or home), fax, e-mail.

Illustration. Figures, tables and formulas can be arranged in such a way that they would fit into one (84 mm) or two columns. Graphs should be prepared by computer (editor Microsoft Word or compatible).

Mathematical expressions. All mathematical expressions should be computer typed. Equations should be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals in parentheses on the right hand side of the columns. The formulas should be prepared using Microsoft Equation 2.0 or 3.0. The spacing between main text and formulas 6 mm. Numbers that identify mathematical expressions should be enclosed in parentheses. Equations that might extend beyond the width of one column (84 mm) should be fitted into two columns or should be rephrased to go on two or more lines within column width. One line spacing should separate mathematical expressions from the text.

References. References should be cited in the text by giving the reference number in square brackets. References should be listed in order of their citing at the end of the paper. Each book, monograph or paper, mentioned in the list of references, should contain the name of the publisher, year of publication and number of pages.

Final manuscript should be prepared according to Paper requirements to authors that is available here in

a PDF file (Paper requirements.pdf).

Paper sample is available here in

a PDF file (Paper sample.pdf).

Compressed file Paper templates.zip serve as templates of the requested paper layout.
