About the journal
The IEEE Communications Society's newest publication, IEEE Communications Letters, provides researchers with the ideal venue for sharing their most current results and developments in the most timely manner possible. Every month, IEEE Communications Letters will publish seven to ten short (5-6 column) contributions from every area of communications technology. These letters, like articles in all IEEE Communications Society publications, will be reviewed by expert reviewers and evaluated by the editorial board. But unlike other publications, these letters will be published within four months of submission.
Communications technology topics, include BUT NOT LIMITED TO the following:
- Modulation and Signal Design
- Speech, Image, and Video Communications
- Coding Theory and Applications
- Wireless Personal Communications
- Spread Spectrum Communications
- Synchronization
- Channel Equalization
- Detection and Estimation
- Multiplexing and Carrier Techniques
- Optical Communications
Communications Networking, Multimedia ATM Design

IEEE Guide for Authors
If you wish to publish an article in an IEEE journal, transactions, or magazine, or submit a proposal for a book, submit the manuscript according to the instructions in each entry below. If there are no specific submission instructions, send the manuscript to the appropriate editorial office or editor. If you are unsure of the appropriate publication, send your manuscript to IEEE Publications, 445 Hoes Lane, Piscataway, NJ 08854 USA.
For general guidance in IEEE style, click on http://www.ieee.org/pubs/transactions/stylesheets.xml, or you may send for Information for IEEE Transactions and Journal Authors and/or IEEE Authors Electronic Guide, available at the above address. Information may also be found in many of the journals themselves, usually on the back or inside back cover. All guides are free. They must be requested by their correct titles to avoid confusion.
