About the journal

Scientific Programming is a reporting forum for research and practical experience within software engineering environments, tools, languages and models of computation, aimed specifically at supporting scientific and engineering programming. Papers on these topics are featured in the journal, as well as a special section for in-depth reviews of books, articles and software tools relevant to scientific computing.
International in scope, Scientific Programming brings together areas that, until now, have been thought of as distinct, or more closely related to their parent disciplines -- computer architecture, software engineering, compiler technology, and specific application areas. These disciplines are rapidly converging to form the basis of a new discipline under the broader heading of scientific programming. Articles will be chosen for publication only if they are of general interest to scientific programmers and scientific programming researchers.
