This quarterly publication contains articles on the application of superconductivity and on the relevant technology. Electronic applications include analog and digital circuits employing thin films and active devices such as Josephson junctions. Power applications include magnet design as well as motors, generators and power transmission.
Instructions to Authors
Transactions on Applied Superconductivity is pleased to announce the start of on line peer review. The experience of other IEEE Transactions and Journals shows that electronic peer review speeds the publication process. Authors like the fact that they can check the progress of their manuscript on line. Editors and reviewers appreciate the reduction in the volume of paper and the efficiency of the ScholarOne record keeping system. Everyone likes the speed of Email, especially our international colleagues.
To maintain the integrity of the author submission, manuscripts are reviewed in the .pdf file format, which cannot be modified by the Editor or the Reviewer. The website includes a link that enables authors to convert documents to .pdf files.
The Editors and Staff of IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity hope that these changes will help us to serve you better. We welcome your comments.
I. Procedure for Paper Submission A. Manuscript Preparation Please download the template IEEE_TAS.DOC for Microsoft Word 6.0/95 and Word 97/2000. Follow the instructions in the template to prepare your manuscript. If you plan to use LaTeX, you should download the LaTeX style and sample files from the IEEE website at http://www.ieee.org/organizations/pubs/transactions/stylesheets.htm. Use the styles indicated, but please follow the instructions in IEEE_TAS.DOC, also found in IEEE_TAS.PDF. The instructions in IEEE_TAS.DOC or IEEE_TAS.PDF are obligatory for conference-related papers and are recommended for regular submissions.
B. Review Stage IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity uses on line peer review. The software suite, file servers, and user support are provided under contract with Manuscript Central
