About the journal
Since its inception in 1990, the Journal of Democracy has become an influential international forum for scholarly analysis and competing democratic viewpoints. Focusing exclusively on democracy, the Journal monitors and analyzes democratic regimes and movements in scores of countries around the world.
Instructions to Authors
Unsolicited manuscripts may be submitted to the Editors, Journal of Democracy , National Endowment for Democracy, 1101 15th Street, N.W., Suite 802, Washington, D.C. 20005. Manuscripts must be typed double-spaced, on one side of the paper only, and include a separate one-page abstract of no more than 150 words. Manuscripts should not exceed approximately 6,000 words. All references must be in the form of numbered endnotes and should be strictly limited in number. The Journal will not consider manuscripts submitted simultaneously to other journals.
Please supply an abstract of 100 or fewer words with your paper.
