Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism
Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism, with its polished, concise and readable reviews, Research News, Meeting reports and discussions of topics at the cutting edge of endocrinology, covers both clinical and research aspects of the field, from state-of-the-art treatments of endocrine diseases to new developments in molecular biology, thus serving as an invaluable source of information for researchers, clinicians, lecturers, teachers and students. Commissioned clinicians and researchers report on advancements in reproductive endocrinology, developmental endocrinology, metabolism, biochemistry, diabetes and insulin action, thyroid hormone action, obesity, neuroendocrinology, molecular and cellular biology, and a host of other areas. From resident to experienced clinician, post-doctoral fellows to lab director, graduate student to professor - all will benefit from and enjoy reading this informative publication.
Reviews and Opinion articles form the foundation of each monthly issue. Reviews are invited from leading researchers in a specific field and objectively chronicle recent and important developments. Opinion articles provide a forum for debate and hypothesis. The Research Update section includes short articles highlighting topical issues and recent research papers of particular note, as well as articles reporting on groundbreaking technical advances.
Articles for Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism are usually commissioned by the Editor-inChief, but proposals for articles are welcome, especially for the Research Update section. Prospective authors should send a brief summary, citing key references, to the Editor-in-Chief at the address detailed below. Guidelines will then be provided for manuscript preparation if the proposal is accepted. The submission of completed manuscripts without prior consultation with the Editor-in-Chief is strongly discouraged. Authors should note that all major articles in Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism are peer reviewed and publication cannot be guaranteed.
Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism welcomes correspondence. The decision to publish rests with the Editor-in-Chief, and the author(s) of any article discussed in a Letter will normally be invited to reply. Letters can address topics raised in recent issues of the journal, or other matters of general interest to endocrinologists. Letters should be no more than 700 words long with a maximum of 12 references and one figure. Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism
Articles for TEM are generally invited by the Editor-in-Chief, in association with the Editorial Board members, but proposals for articles are welcome. Prospective authors should send a brief summary, citing key references, to the Editorial Office (TEM@current-trends.com), who will supply guidelines on manuscript preparation if the proposal is accepted. The submission of completed articles without prior consultation is strongly discouraged. Authors should note that all major articles in TEM are peer reviewed and publication cannot be guaranteed.
