About the journal
Turkish Journal of Entomology
The Turkish Journal of Entomology is published by the Entomological Society of Turkey, which was founded in 1976 as the national umbrella for all entomologists in Turkey. Its headquarters are in the Department of Plant Protection in Agriculture Faculty at Ege University in İzmir, Turkey. The society has been publishing a reviewed journal quarterly since 1977. It accepts original research articles in the fields of entomology and agricultural zoology in Turkish or English. It has local and international editorial board that were specialist on entomology.
Turkish Journal of Entomology is being delivered to 300 national members and institutions besides 50 different foreign organizations, which are generally research centers from abroad. The Journal is in exchange with 46 different journals that related to entomology all over the world. In addition, it is being evaluated in different abstract centers (Abstracted/Indexed in SCI-E, Biological Abstracts, BIOSIS Previews, CAB Abstracts, FAO AGRIS, Global Health, Information Reference Library, Review of Agricultural Entomology, SCI-E, TÜBİTAK/ULAKBİM, VINITI, Zoological Record), which are internationally active. The Journal is published online since 2008. All articles since 1977 are now being tranfered into electronic format.

Instructions to Authors
INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS
Turkish Journal of Entomology publishes original research articles and biological observations in the fields of entomology and agricultural zoology in Turkish or English. Authors whose native language is not English should have their paper edited professionally prior to submission. Before preparing the typescript for submission, examine the format of manuscripts already published in Turkish Journal of Entomology. Manuscripts are peer-reviewed by experts selected by the Editorial Board. The author is given an opportunity to revise the manuscripts in accordance with the referees' and editors' suggestions; a revised manuscript must be returned within 2 months, if not it will be considered as a new submission. The final responsibility for the selection of papers rests with the Editorial Board. Submission of a manuscript to Turkish Journal of Entomology implies that it consists of unpublished new information and does not contain any material that has been published or is under review or consideration for publication elsewhere; and that it has been approved for submission by all of the authors.
MANUSCRIPT
Manuscripts should be submitted as attachments via e-mail (dergi@entomoloji.org.tr), as a single file. Experiments must be repeated to the level required for statistical analysis; all field and laboratory data (except for descriptive biology) must be subjected to statistical analysis. Descriptions of experimental design should include information such as sample size, number of replications, and statistical methods used. Indicate the measurement units (metric system) for each variable. All words which are to be italicized in print, such as names of genera, species, should appear in italics in the manuscript.
REFERENCES
References should be listed in alphabetical order, as follows: name and initial(s) of every author; year of publication; title of paper; contracted title of periodical according to the BIOSIS Serial Sources, in bold; volume number in Arabic numerals; first and last page numbers. References should be cited in the text by name (in parentheses). The reference list should include only works cited in the text; only those which have been published or are in press.
ILLUSTRATIONS
Vector graphs must be saved at 150 dpi minimum resolution (and preferably at 200-300 dpi) and in a EPS format. Drawings, photos (images), drawing/graph scanned from an original printout, it must be saved at 300 dpi minimum resolution and in high quality JPEG (preferably in TIFF) format. Do not save as, or submit, any material in a PDF file format.
Letters and numbers should be uniform and legible when illustrations are reduced to final size for publication. Abbreviations must be identical to those used in the text and should be defined in each caption.
There is a charge of € 30 / $ 50 per new submission and € 4 / $ 6 per page published in Turkish Journal of Entomology.
The cost of submission (€ 30) should be paid before sending the MS. If MS has been accepted for publication, € 4 per page should be paid before publishing.
