About the journal

European Power Electronics and Drives Association Journal

The scope of the EPE Journal is to supply all experts in the field of power electronics and drives, with the most recent information on the rapid evolution in the field of Power Electronics, Drives and Industrial Applications.

The journal wants to attract contributions from scientists but also and probably mainly the contributions of those who are designing and producing power electronics systems and those involved with the applications of those systems in industrial processes. The role of Power Electronics as a field is emphasized and every effort is developed to disembed it from more general names such as Electrical Engineering, Computer science, Automatic Control, etc..

In addition to the author's contributions, information is supplied on new products, industrial realizations, firm portraits, EPE-Association's life, contacts with international bodies and in particular with EC, agenda.

The EPE Journal is recognized as a truly European specialized Journal on Power Electronics, Drives and Applications of a very high scientific and technological level. The Journal is in close relation with the bi-annual EPE Conference, the leading European Conference in the field, which brings manufacturers, researchers and users together.

The current rates for the EPE Journal are:
 Europe   International
 EUR 106.15 per year

Writing the paper

The paper will be written in English.
The title will be chosen short and expressive. It will be followed by the authors' names, title, function and address and by keywords.
The paper will start with a summary that will allow non-specialists to understand the problem, have an idea of the state of the art, and understand the originality of the described solutions. The summary will be half a typewritten page long and refer to a figure. The figure will be particularly clear and eloquent. The end of the paper will include a list of references and the authors' curriculi and photographs.

When the paper is accepted

Texts are sent on floppy disks with indication of the format and a paper copy. The text will be typewritten without page set-up (no columns, no styles). Paragraphs are separated by a line space. Titels are in bold with level indication by size or number. They finish without a period (.). Figure captions will be included in the text and will be of the kind:

Fig. 1 : Typical figure caption

The originals of the figures will be given:

  • ink drawings,
  • photographs,
  • laser print out
  • or other
Figures can be included in the general file. Figures and photographs will be sent back after use upon request.
