About the journal
|
The journal publishes research papers and occasionally surveys or expositions on mathematical logic. Contributions are also welcomed from other related areas, such as theoretical computer science or philosophy, as long as the methods of mathematical logic play a significant role. The journal therefore addresses logicians and mathematicians, computer scientists, and philosophers who are interested in the applications of mathematical logic in their own field, as well as its interactions with other areas of research.

Instructions to Authors

Preparation of your paper We welcome manuscripts written in TeX or LaTeX, particularly if the Springer macropackage SVJour has been used (further details below). For papers written in TeX or LaTeX without Springer macros, the source files can in many cases be used, but Springer will decide on a case-by-case basis whether it is more economical to work from the author’s files or to typeset. Information on the Springer macropackage is available at ftp://ftp.springer.de/pub/tex/ latex/svjour/amalog For any other information concerning the journal, please contact angela.schulze-thomin@ springer.de Specific problems concerning the macro package or suggestions should be transmitted by e-mail to: texhelp@springer.de For the review process please submit your manuscript in triplicate: either (a) to the Editor who, in your opinion, is most closely concerned with the subject matter of the paper (this should be the rule) or (b) to the Managing Editor (e-mail address is listed together with the postal address). To facilitate communication between authors, editors and publisher, the author should furnish a fax number and/or e-mail address on the title page of the manuscript. Papers may be written preferably in English. For style matters please consult previous issues of the journal. |
The list of references at the end of the paper should always be in alphabetical order and include the names and initials of all authors and the year of publication. Titles of journals and book series should be abbreviated in accordance with Zentralblatt für Mathematik / Compact MATH (index volumes). Please fill out the Copyright Transfer Statement overleaf and enclose it with your manuscript. Please do not forget to include the important identification requested overleaf ( ). Make sure that the final printed version of your paper is identical in content to the electronic version sent. Normally only typesetting errors should be corrected in the page proofs. A charge is made for extensive changes introduced after the paper has been typeset. No later corrections will be accepted electronically. Supplementary material. Data which is of primary interest only to those readers who want more complete data for comparison purposes, will not be printed in the journal. If submitted in electronic form, this material will be put on Springer-Verlag’s server and will be accessible free of charge through the World Wide Web at http://www.springerlink.com. Fifty (50) offprints of each paper will be supplied free of charge. Additional offprints are available in lots of 100, provided the order form is received with the corrected proofs. |
