Since 1922 the journal has been the Organ of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe and publishes the abstracts and proceedings of their bi-annual meetings. The Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics is circulated in over 40 countries world wide and is indexed in Index Medicus. The Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics publishes   invited and submitted reviews    original articles about clinical topics and basic Research    case reports and    preliminary communications from all subspecialities in Gynecology and Obstetrics. All papers are peer-reviewed and published as quickly as possible. Instructions to Authors Types of papers  Case Reports Observations of particular interest, i.e., especially written-up single cases, will be published unter the heading “Case Reports”. Such reports will usually not exceed 4 printed pages, 4 figures, and 1 table. Review Articles “Review Articles” and annotations reflect the present state of knowledge in special areas or summarize limited themes in which discussion has led to clearly defined conclusions. Authors are requested to prepare manuscripts in accordance with the journal’s accepted practice in such matters as the division of papers, lay-out of tables, etc. Editorial Board Prof. Dr. H.
