About the journal

Wetlands Ecology and Management

Description

Publishing papers on international wetlands issues; bridging management and research

Wetlands Ecology and Management is an international journal that publishes authoritative and original refereed articles on topics relevant to freshwater, brackish and marine coastal wetland ecosystems. The Journal serves as a multi- and interdisciplinary forum for key issues in wetlands science, management, policy and economics.

Wetlands Ecology and Management encourages the exchange of information between environmental managers, pure and applied scientists, and national and international authorities on wetlands science, policy and ecological economics. The journal's unique Wetlands Management site provides free access to recent papers on the issues, methods and impacts of wetlands management - a particularly valuable resource for those involved in resource management and applied research.

Besides original research papers, discussion papers and short reports, the journal occasionally includes invited review papers on topical subjects.

Aims and scope

NEWS

Springer is delighted to announce that Wetlands Ecology and Management has now been accepted by Thomson Reuters?Science Citation Index Expanded, and is now available in Web of Science starting Volume 17 Issue 1. We would like to thank all our authors, reviewers and editorial board members over the years who have contributed so much to the Journal.

Wetlands Ecology and Management is an international journal that publishes authoritative and original articles on topics relevant to freshwater, brackish and marine coastal wetland ecosystems. The Journal serves as a multi-disciplinary forum covering key issues in wetlands science, management, policy and economics. As such, Wetlands Ecology and Management aims to encourage the exchange of information between environmental managers, pure and applied scientists, and national and international authorities on wetlands policy and ecological economics.

Besides original research papers, discussion papers and short reports, the Journal will occasionally include invited review papers on topical subjects. Book reviews, notices of scientific meetings and special issues, arising from chosen scientific symposia or workshops, or as a collection of papers on special topics, will also be considered for publication. All contributions are reviewed by minimally two specialist referees, a subject editor, and the editors-in-chief.
