About the journal
The international journal of the Society of Powder Technology, Japan. Published jointly with the Society of Powder Technology, Japan.
The aim of Advanced Powder Technology is to meet the demand for an international journal integrating all aspects of research on powder engineering and technology. The journal fulfils this aim by publishing original research papers (including translations of papers originally published in Japanese), notes, review papers, letters to editor, book reviews, general articles and announcements. Although Advanced Powder Technology was founded as the International Journal of the Society of Powder Technology, Japan, researchers world-wide are invited to submit papers for publication in this journal.
Advanced Powder Technology reports on research in various areas of powder technology such as particle characterization, mechanical powder properties, storage, conveying, comminution, classification, agglomeration, mixing and kneading, dispersion, reactor design, dust, separation, filtration.

Instructions to Authors
Submission of an article is understood to imply that the article is original and unpublished and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Reviews of specialized topics are also welcome, after the authors obtain preliminary approval from the Editor-in-Chief.
General Typescripts should be typed in English, double spaced and single-sided on A4-sheets and should be numbered beginning with the title page. The first page of an article should contain the title of the paper, the name(s) and address(es) of all the author(s) and the author to whom correspondence and proofs should be addressed. An abstract of 50--200 words should follow the title page on a separate sheet.
Text Headings and subheadings for different sections of the paper (e.g. Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion) should be clearly indicated. Units of measurement, abbreviations and symbols should follow the International System of Units (Sl). Equations and formulae should be typewritten. Equations should be numbered consecutively with arabic numerals in parentheses on the right-hand side of the page.
Tables and figures Tables should be given short informative titles and should be numbered consecutively in arabic numerals. Tables may be reproduced by photo-offset, i.e. directly from the typed manuscript. Figures in a form suitable for reproduction should be submitted separately from the text as original drawings, or as high contrast, sharp photographs on glossy paper. Lettering on figures should be proportional to the size of the figure to ensure legibility after reduction. On the back of each figure the author and figure number should be indicated. All figures and tables should be cited consecutively in the text and a list of descriptive captions should be provided at the end of the paper.
References References should be cited in the text using a number in square brackets in order of appearance, and listed at the end of the paper in numerical order.
