The Journal of Applied Gerontology provides an international forum for information that has clear and immediate applicability to the health, care and quality of life of older persons. Each issue brings you the latest research and analysis from the field - and helps you apply it to your everyday practice. Comprehensive Coverage The Journal of Applied Gerontology publishes articles in all subdisciplines of aging whose finding, conclusions, or suggestions have clear and sometimes immediate applicability to the problems encountered by older persons. Instructions to Authors

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically as a Word document attached to an e-mail note to the Editor at jag@mail.ecu.edu. The manuscript text and references should be double-spaced with 1-inch margins. The body of the text, tables, and references should not exceed 20 pages. A 150-word abstract and each table should be submitted on separate pages. To facilitate blind review, manuscripts and abstracts with no identifiers should be accompanied by a cover sheet with title, author(s), and affiliations(s), including complete mailing and e-mail address(es). The format outlined in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (fifth edition) should be employed. Manuscripts submitted will be reviewed initially by the Editor for conformance to page limitations and for content appropriate for blind review. Manuscripts accepted for publication are subject to stylistic editing with the edited draft sent to the corresponding author for final review. Submission of a manuscript implies that it has not been published elsewhere, it is not under consideration by another journal, and, if accepted, it is not to be published elsewhere without permission.
