About the journal

The Lithuanian Mathematical Journal publishes high-quality original papers mainly in pure mathematics. This multidisciplinary quarterly provides mathematicians and researchers in other areas of science with a peer-reviewed forum for the exchange of vital ideas in the field of mathematics.
Coverage includes:
- probability theory and statistics
- differential equations (theory and numerical methods)
- number theory
- financial and actuarial mathematics, econometrics.
The journal features research papers from those whose work is related to the advances being made by Lithuanian mathematicians.
Abstracted/Indexed in:
Academic OneFile, Academic Search, Current Abstracts, Current Index to Statistics, Digital Mathematics Registry, Gale, Google Scholar, Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition, Mathematical Reviews, OCLC, Science Citation Index Expanded (SciSearch), SCOPUS, Summon by Serial Solutions, TOC Premier, Zentralblatt Math
Instructions to Authors
A manuscript submitted to this journal will be considered for publication with the understanding that the same work has not been published and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Any manuscript which does not conform to the below instructions may be returned for necessary revision. The author should keep a copy of his paper, because the Editor cannot take the responsibility for a possible loss of the manuscript during the refereeing procedure. Every manuscript is passed to a referee for his opinion and comments, and then it is subject to the approval by the Editorial Board. The manuscript must be the final version of the paper, changes in the proofs being admissible only exceptionally.
The author(s) will also be required to sign a copyright transfer form for the paper, assigning exclusive copyright to the Publisher.
The accepted language is English.
Each paper should have:
- title;
- name(s) and institutional affiliation(s) of the author(s);
- information about author(s), e-mail for contact;
- abstract (70-100 words), keywords;
- mathematics subject classification 2000;
- an abbreviated title not exceeding 45-50 characters (including spaces) for the running head.
The papers may be submitted electronically as PDF or Postscript files or by post (1 copy). Papers sent electronically are generally reviewed more quickly than papers sent by post but only if the PS or PDF file is printable and the form is completed accurately. Please keep the .tex file that precisely corresponds to the .PS or .PDF version that you have submitted. If your paper is accepted, we will require that particular version of the .tex file. Please do not send the .tex file at this time.
Since the journal is typeset in TeX, all usual fonts of TeX are available for mathematical symbols. However, if some more unusual fonts or many different fonts are used, it is advisable to mark them in a clear way and to attach a special list of these marks and the corresponding fonts. Displayed formulae are numbered on the right-hand side.
