About the journal
Light & Engineering is in part a translation of the Russian Svetotekhnika one of the oldest (from 1932) and most authoritative journals in the world devoted to light and lighting research. This quarterly English edition carries the best articles from Russia and from around the world.
The scope of our issue is to present current results of fundamental research in field of Illumination science (theoretical basis of light source development, physiological optics, lighting technology, photometry, colorimetry, radiometry and metrology, visual perception, health, and hazard, energy saving problems, semiconductor sources of light and many others connected directions) and its application in technology of source of light, lighting devices, lighting installations, control systems, standards, lighting art design, and so on.
Light & Engineering is an international scientific journal subscribed by many different countries. Its international editorial board is consists of a group of high level specialists and experts in light and lighting from U.S.A., Germany, Japan, France, Russia, U.K., Italy, Australia and another countries, and some persons from CIE board. Journal has high international authority and recognized by CIE as one of the three best lighting Journals in the world.
For Journal promotion editorial staff is in active communication with Thomson Scientific (Citation index) and other International publishing houses and agencies, such as EBSCO Publishing, for example.
Brand of Light & Engineering and its design are well-known in the field of light and illumination. Each volume (one year) has four numbers and about 80-100 pages per number. Each paper is reviewed by high level world experts, and English version is styled in Cambridge University.
The Russian version of Journal Svetotekhnika is an oldest scientific issue in the world. It had been established in 1932. The establishing of English version named Light and Engineering in 1993 gave possibility to introduce Russian illumination science to the foreign colleagues and attract attention of experts and new generation of scientists from different countries to our native achievements in light and engineering science, as well as introduce the international results of research and industrial applications on the Russian lighting market.
The journal's aim is to cover the most recent developments and trends in lighting research, technologies and applications from all over the world Light & Engineering is real international scientific journal, prints original, peer-reviewed contributions from all disciplines in the field of lighting engineering, including:
