About the journal
The purpose of this journal is to provide a unique forum for the fast publication and rapid dissemination of original research results and innovative ideas on the state-of-the-art on computational methods. The methods should be innovative and of high scholarly, academic and practical value.

The journal is devoted to all aspects of modern computational methods including

  • mathematical formulations and theoretical investigations;
  • interpolations and approximation techniques;
  • error analysis techniques and algorithms;
  • fast algorithms and real-time computation;
  • multi-scale bridging algorithms;
  • adaptive analysis techniques and algorithms;
  • implementation, coding and parallelization issues;
  • novel and practical applications.

The articles can involve theory, algorithm, programming, coding, numerical simulation and/or novel application of computational techniques to problems in engineering, science, and other disciplines related to computations. Examples of fields covered by the journal are:

  • Computational mechanics for solids and structures,
  • Computational fluid dynamics,
  • Computational heat transfer,
  • Computational inverse problem,
  • Computational mathematics,
  • Computational meso/micro/nano mechanics,
  • Computational biology,
  • Computational penetration mechanics,
  • Meshfree methods,
  • Particle methods,
  • Molecular and Quantum methods,
  • Advanced Finite element methods,
  • Advanced Finite difference methods,
  • Advanced Finite volume methods,
  • High-performance computing techniques.

The journal places a great emphasis on creativity, novelty and innovativeness of computational methods. It aims to become the major platform that archives the history of the technical development of new generations of computational methods.

The journal also features a section for technical notes that allows researchers to publish their original findings or new ideas more speedily. It will publish technical discussions so that researchers can have a vibrant and timely academic communication with others. The IJCM will help bring together papers and articles focused on related subjects so as to provide a more effective medium for disseminating the latest developments to researchers, engineers and other professionals.

  • Submission of a manuscript indicates a tacit understanding that the paper is not under consideration for publication in other journals.
  • All manuscripts will be acknowledged and refereed, but will not be returned.
  • There is no prescribed maximum length of a manuscript. However, the authors are encouraged to write concisely.
Copyright:
  • If copyright material is used, it is the responsibility of the author(s) to obtain the necessary copyright release and submit it along with the manuscript.
  • Once a paper is accepted, author(s) should be assumed to cede copyrights of the paper to the publisher (WSPC).
  • Copyright Assignment Form
Proofs:
  • Proofs will be sent to the author (first named author if no corresponding author is identified of multi-authored papers) and should be returned within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Corrections should be restricted to typesetting errors. Any queries should be answered in full.
Electronic submission:
  • Once the authors are notified of the acceptance of their manuscripts, camera-ready manuscripts are to be prepared using computer typesetting software (Preferably TeX or LaTeX but Microsoft Word is acceptable) according to the instructions provided with the acceptance letter.
  • Manuscripts are to be prepared according to the instructions provided. They should preferably be prepared using a TEX style file, which can be obtained from the World Wide Web at

    http://www.worldscinet.com/style_files/ijcm/196-ijcm_2e.zip

    or from the Publisher. Authors are allowed to check their proofs before publication.
  • Detailed instructions for preparation of manuscripts are available in:

  • Submission of camera ready manuscripts implies that the manuscripts are in their final form and will not be returned to the author for proofreading before publication.
Offprints:
  • There is no page charge for the journal.
  • The author(s) will be provided a total of 25 offprints free of charge.
  • Additional offprints and copies of the issue can be ordered at a specially reduced rate using the order form sent to the corresponding author after the manuscript has been accepted.
