About the journal
The International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems is a forum for research on various methodologies for the management of imprecise, vague, uncertain or incomplete information. The aim of the journal is to promote theoretical, methodological or practical works dealing with all kinds of methods to represent and manipulate imperfectly described pieces of knowledge. It is published bimonthly, with worldwide distribution to researchers, engineers, decision-makers, and educators.

Instructions to Authors
- Hardcopies of camera-ready manuscripts with at least one original set of figures (photographs) should be submitted in triplicate to the Editor-in-Chief, or any of the Advisory Editors or members of the Editorial Board. Camera-ready manuscripts are to be prepared using computer typesetting software (TeX, LaTeX or Microsoft Word). TeX and LaTeX style files (Latex2e readme / Download) are available. Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscripts with an electronic version too (i.e. by e-mail or on a floppy disk).
- Submission of a manuscript indicates a tacit understanding that the paper is not actively under consideration for publication with other journals.
- All papers will be acknowledged and refereed. They will not be returned. Authors may recommend appropriate persons as referees for their papers although this in no way binds the Editors to follow their suggestions.
- Once a paper is accepted, the author is assumed to have transferred the copyright of the paper to World Scientific Publishing Co.
- Camera-ready manuscripts are to be prepared according to the instructions provided. Submission of camera-ready manuscripts implies that the manuscripts are in their final form and will not be edited by the publisher or returned to the author for proofreading before publication. Deviations from these instructions may cause a delay in publication of the paper concerned.
- There will be no page charge for the journal. Fifty free reprints will be given to the first author of each accepted paper. Purchase orders for additional reprints can be made on order forms which will be sent to authors.
- Manuscripts can also be sent to the publisher via Web-based submission.
